My wife bought me a case lot sale and it had Barbie. I guess it will be cool to pass on to my daughter one day, so I have that going for me.

I remember playing that game when I was a little girl... please don't force your daughter through the same torture.  Give her Mario or something.  ;)

I don't have any particularly embarrassing games, though I have some generally 'bad' games.  However, my roommate did get a Powerpuff Girls games from a friend a while back... I was never sure why, but it stays nice and hidden behind his other games. xD

Ha, no I won't force her to play it. I do want to give her my collection one day, if she wants it. My wife and I are pretty much super nerds so she is immersed in our nerdery. DFTBA.

So last night I was perusing Craigslist and saw someone had put up an NES and 27 games for sale for $50. This seemed like a pretty sweet deal, so I texted the guy and asked if he could e-mail me a list of games. I looked it over and two immediately popped out: Final Fantasy and Mega Man.
I knew that those were not cheap, so I look up what they were worth, and just those two were worth $50. I like a good deal and all, but I felt that he should know that he was under selling by quite a bit.  I texted him and let him know that he was asking for way to little. We went back and forth for a bit, I was trying to help him figure out the value. Then a few minutes in he said someone called and offered $150.
I did not get a steal that night, but it felt good to sort of help someone not get screwed over.  I would have offered $100, but just couldn’t right then.

Hiya, I'm Phil and I have been looking for a site like this for awhile. It's great thanks. I currently live in the Phoenix Arizona area, (Luke AFB).

I have been collecting for years, albiate very slowly. It's gonna take me awhile to fill in my collection in my profile, but I currently have NES 2, SNES, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS, and PSP. I love retro games and have been very interested lately in adding to my collection at a faster rate. I also really enjoy doing projects and have been inspired to try to build my own NES PC. I am also a husband, Father, dog owner, board game geek, sci-fi nerd, and spend way to much time on Reddit.

This place seems great and I hope to contribute to and learn from the community. Thanks
