Modern Video Games / Re: Why isn't the Vita considered a failure universally? Sony Fanboyism?

I feel that the Vita has this public perception that Sony completely abandoned it shortly after launch. leaving it almost entirely to indie and 3rd party Japanese developers to keep it alive. making it an underdog with lots of vocal fan support.

Whereas with the Wii u Nintendo never gave up on it and put out a lot of great first party software but it wasn't enough not helped by the almost no existent 3rd party support.

BTW I love both systems but if you look at my collection you can tell I overall prefer the Vita but I could talk about it's shortcomings all night. like how almost every game is a port or has been ported to another system meaning there is no real reason anyone NEEDS a vita lol.

This happened to me a couple times back around the time that eb games was converting to gamestop (around 2005 or 2006). It was never anything to big that I got upset over and it didn't happen to me again until last winter.

I was in a gamestop looking for one of the neptunia games for vita. Now this location happens to be one of the only gamestops in the area that still has the cases for their psp games so while I was there I found a complete used copy of disgaea infinite so I decided to pick it up. I take it to the counter the guy spends maybe a minuet looking for it and comes back with a copy of disgaea afternoon of darkness and says it must have gotten traded in in the infinite case. Now I had seen the case for afternoon of darkness on the shelf so I mentioned it to him but he completely brushed me off. So since it was holiday time they had a person working the floor and it happened to be someone that I was an acquaintance with so I explained the situation to her and she went to go check for the game it took her about the same amount of time for her to find the game. The whole time the first dude was telling her to not bother cause he had already checked. After she found it she handed it to him to ring me up. The entire time he has kinda mumbling to himself.  Anyway I got the impression from talking to my acquaintance later on that he may have wanted to buy the game himself.... so yeah kind of a dick move on his part.

Almost anything retail related comes down to the employees though I was pretty lucky up until recently most of the gamestops in my area had good staff one store I specifically went to just to chat with a friend sadly that's not the norm with gamestop and the staff in my area has changed drastically.

Nice Samba set! Playing it on the Wii was never as fun as the original maracas from Sega.

Thanks!I was so pleasantly surprised with how much better the dreamcast maracas work after being pretty disappointed in the wii samba's controls. I think i put a solid 3 hours in to the dreamcast version as soon as i got it home.

Very jealous of that component cable.

I really hope that the gamecube modding community can come up with a cheap alternative to the official component cable cause the price has gotten way out of hand.

First post here outside of the introduction thread! thought i'd share my finds from the last month or so.
   

 
I've really been focusing on vita lately. I'm playing with the idea of going for the full set but not in love with the idea of buying all those lego games haha.
The standouts for me would be the samba de amigo maracas set w/game which I've been dying to play for years with the full set up (and it did not disappoint very fun game) and then there was this



I was so excited when I found these as soon as I got them home I snapped this pic real quick then hooked up my gameboy player.

Hello, My name is John I've been playing and amassing games the majority of my life but have been actively collecting for 7-8 years. I was looking for a good way to catalog what I have when I came upon the site (still working on getting everything on here haha). I've been lurking for awhile but decided I might start posting so here I am to say my Hello Worlds.
