I am kind of surprised no one has mentioned the Gamecube. The Gamecube Library has some of the best games ever made. Not only that, it has exclusive titles that were eccentric and at times just kinda weird (but in a good way).  :D

Thrifting can be a good way to find some rare and gem items that you never see. Several of the items I am about to list, I have seen once, or only a few times in my life (And these are just the very big/rare finds), so I had to buy them for the ridiculously low price.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - Gamecube - $5
Team Buddies - Playstation - $3
Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall (Complete in Big Box) - $5

Now, being the big fan of the Gamecube that I am, will occasionally shell out some money to pick up some extremely rare titles. For example, last week I saw Skies of Arcadia: Legends for $80. I had to get it, it was the first time I had ever seen it in person. Also, several years ago, I saw an Australian version of Pokemon Box for $65 on eBay. I had to get it, it was the first time I had seen the Australian version, and I have never seen another listing like it.

A lot of things do happen by luck or chance though. Right place, right time kind of thing. It's all about being ready, so that when those times come, you can get the game you want.

Marketplace / Re: Help with selling on ebay?

I'm pretty sure it has already been stated, but shipping depends on a number of variables: mostly dependent on weight and price. First Class shipping is great for items under 13oz. Priority Mail is good for larger packages (up to 10lbs, my opinion). If you have something very heavy but is small, a flat rate box would be the way to go. These are found at the local USPS Post Office in your area and shouldn't cost anything to get. I personally haven't shipped too many things with flat rate boxes, but they can come in handy with the right item. Also, make sure that when you ship an item with a corresponding USPS box, that it is the right box. You cannot ship first class mail in a priority mail box. I made this mistake several times when I was first starting off a couple years ago, and I learned that if you use USPS printed boxes, that they can only be designated for that specific type of shipping that the box says. Boxes that have nothing on them can be used for any type of shipping (depending on the size requirements that each type of shipping has, obviously).

But mostly, it depends on your item (weight of item, cost of item, size of item, worth of item, etc.) and how you are listing the item. You can list the item with free shipping or add a shipping charge. Personally, I add the shipping charge and reduce the price of my item to adjust for the shipping price added onto the listing. Paypal is very user-friendly when it comes to shipping via ebay, and I highly recommend that you use Paypal for transactions on ebay (buying or selling).

If you are investing in a long-term ebay selling profile, then you also might want to invest in a scale. I have never had too many problems with USPS, but you always want to make sure that what you are shipping out matches the weight that the postage label says. You also might want a tape gun, so that it makes taping boxes easier and faster.

Another note: always save bubble wrap and boxes in good condition! You never know when you'll need a box that fits your sold item perfectly with padding.

This few tips and tricks have helped me the past 5 years while selling on ebay.

Ok the REASON why I asked is because I hadn't heard of the NES Controllers yellowing this bad. I had seen many SNES having this problem, but not an NES Controller. Sorry for all the trouble.

:-\ Thanks for making fun of me. I thought that if I posted it on this forum that I would have gotten genuine responses, but instead have gotten laughed in my face. Thank you burningdoom for having a genuine response.

Hello guys. I found a Gold NES Controller a while back, and I have never been able to find any information on it. This looks to be OEM from Nintendo. I was just wondering if anyone here could give me some information on this controller.

Duke Nukem Forever.  It was unapologetically retro 90's throwback gameplay.  Sure if you try to compare it side-by-side with modern shooters, it falls flat on many fronts.   But taken for what it is (see above), it's just a lot of fun.  I giggled like a little kid who heard a dirty joke a couple of times and was proud to earn that "turd burglar" trophy for picking a deuce up out of a john.   :P
This. The game has some... things you have to get past. But besides that I had a fun and laughable time playing the game!

Also, some people dislike the Guitar Hero franchise. I personally love it. So many memories playing Van Halen and Metallica songs.

Video Game Database Discussion / Gamecube Region [AU] Missing?
« on: July 25, 2016, 02:54:38 am »
Hello guys. There are several games out there that were made for the Australian Region. I have one of these games (Pokemon Box - willing to take picture to prove it's from the Australian Region), and am just wondering if it is possible to create a region on this website for the Gamecube [AU] ?

Let me know if I am in the wrong, I am fairly knew to this site.
