Bought Metal Gear Solid 1 from them,

They described it perfectly, and it arrived exactly as they had described it.
On top of that, the package arrived on the day he said it would. He's either psychic or good at determining these kinds of things.

All in all, great user, would buy from again.

Marketplace / Re: WTB; Haunting Ground for the PS2

I'm actually looking for that game too, hoping to find it locally.  I've recently become interested in last gen survival horror games, since this gen the genre seemed to wither away.  I hope to eventually pick up Haunting Ground, Rule of Rose, Clock Tower 3, Fatal Frame 1&2 and Silent Hill 4.

Fatal Frame 1-4 are all amazing games. I own all of them except 4, which I had to *cough* pirate *cough* but you should definitely pick up the first 2. Fatal Frame 2 is one of my favorite games of all time.

Hm, probably don't have anything you'd be interested in trading but I really want that MGS complete. If you can make me a deal, I'll buy it from you, or if you're interested in anything I have just go ahead and look in my collection.

Modern Video Games / Re: Wii U, who's getting it?
« on: October 15, 2012, 02:30:42 pm »
It seems lately I've wanted consoles for just a single game.
I want a Vita for Project Diva f, and I want a Wii U for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.
This is the first MH game we've gotten since Tri, so, hell yes I am going to buy a Wii U.

Uh... yeah, guys, chill out. Please. :(

Sorry. I was trying to remain as passive as possible but condescending attitudes tend to piss me off.

This game Demon's Souls was the less played out of the two and definitely received less love out of both of them. The reason for this was because it was PS3 exclusive, while Dark Souls was released on virtually everything. You don't need to be a hypocrite have a condescending attitude like that, especially after telling other people to show respect.

Okay, then...

...Respectfully, you're wrong :)

Have a nice day :P

What a thought out argument to defend your statement.
If you ask someone, "Have you played Demon's Souls?" there's a more likely chance they'll say "No, but I've played Dark Souls!"

Most people I know who own PS3's have never played Demon's Souls. Either way, they're both really good games and anybody who doesn't play both is really missing out.

Well, here's my top 10, in no particular order.

10.) Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 - Alright, this game is sort of a guilty pleasure. I put hundreds of hours into 100%ing this game and I had a blast with the whole thing. On top of that, it cracked me up almost every few minutes.

9.) Nier - Literally one of the most mindfucking games I have ever played. You can spend HOURS learning the background of this game and trying to figure out what the fuck is going on.

8.) Fatal Frame 2 - One of my favorite horror games from one of my favorite horror series of all time. This game nailed nearly every aspect; atmosphere, story, gameplay. It is truly an amazing experience.

7.) Demon's Souls - Honestly, if you don't think this game is great there is something wrong with you. The entire experience of this game is truly amazing. I don't want to spoil anything, but holy SHIT Maden Astraea and Storm King are fun.

6.) Dark Souls - The only reason I put this above Demon's Souls is because of the time I've poured into it. I've poured at least 1000 hours into Dark Souls and I haven't gotten tired of it. The PVP system is unique and the game does a truly amazing job of blending both single player and multiplayer.

5.) Monster Hunter Portable 3rd - Alright, this one is pretty easy to understand. The game is so damn fun to play, especially with friends or online in general. It looks AMAZING for a PSP game, and most of all killing any monster feels rewarding.

4.) Metal Gear Solid 3 - Alright, here we have it. Metal Gear Solid 3, one of the greatest games I have ever played. The story is amazing, the characters are amazing, the voice acting is good, hell, the entire experience is truly amazing. The gameplay is really engaging. There isn't much else to say, other than this game is nearly perfect.

3.) Persona 3: FES - I played this game when I was in early high school and I don't think I've ever felt so immersed in a game. You can truly see yourself as the main character and it almost feels like you are IN the game. The characters are all believable and the Persona system is fun as hell.

2.) Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner - This game is quite literally one of the funnest games I've played in my life. It has an excellent story, fast paced combat, amazing art style, the only downside is that it has mediocre voice acting.

1.) Fatal Frame 4 - Here we have it. My favorite game of all time. This game truly seemed to NAIL survival horror. This game has a lot of subtle things that spook you that you may or may not notice, and it also has the complementary jump scares. The atmosphere is AMAZING and you will always feel on edge when playing this game. Really, there isn't much I can say other than you NEED to play this.

The last game I finished was a couple of weeks ago. Demon's Souls.  This game never really had that much love, especially compared to Dark Souls

Are you kidding me?!

Not only did Demon's Souls get much more "love", but (if you read/researched it a bit), you'd see that many players & reviewers of Dark Souls consider Demon's Souls the better of the 2 games & bemoan the mis-steps, and "steps-down", the exploits, and the *much* lower quality of the multi-player/invasion aspects of the 2nd game.

Don't get me wrong - neither one is a bad game, but to make a totally unfounded comment like that is just ridiculous  ;)

On topic, I also recently finished Demon's Souls with Upondoom. The game is fucking gold, I'd give it a 10/10 if I were to write a review for it. The symbolic bosses such as Maiden Astraea REALLY made the game, and the Storm King boss was a blast. I recently beat Fatal Frame 1, 3, and 4, and am continuing my playthrough of Project Zero 2 (Wii Version). The Fatal Frame games are definitely some of my favorite games of all time.

Welcome!  How is PSO2 so far?  I dug the first one and the portable versions were ok.  Persona 4 is awesome, too - I should try to replay that before Golden comes out (with the new character/love interest).

PSO2 is really good. The fact that it's free to play and that the cash shop players have no advantage is a very good thing too. The boss battles can get pretty intense and the combat is always fast paced. Honestly, it's one of the best MMO's I've ever played. It reminds me a lot of Monster Hunter.

I've been looking forward to it since it was announced... But I guess I'll have to wait until next year to get it properly (can't read Japanese).
There's an English patch. :P

Hi. I'm Toybatsu. I used to go by GreasyLazor until my brother stole that alias to play that really shitty game Minecraft.
I like anime and video games. Upondoom is one of my best friends and he calls me a weeb all of the time because I suppose I kind of do obsess over Japanese games.

My favorite game genres are RPG's and Survival Horror. I'm currently playing Fate/Extra, Phantasy Star Online 2 and Persona 4 (second playthrough). I also have been giving Siren a shot every once in a while but it isn't really grasping my interest.
