General / Re: Do you plan your purchases at all?

I have a pretty standard way to be honest. I have a spread sheet where I have listed each console I own and what games I want on each. E3 has added plenty to it this year that's for sure   ;D

In terms of what I decide to buy off it, I kinda go off my back log. If I know I have ton to play on the xbone I'll grab a game for collection purposes or to play at a later date.

I'm not the sort of guy to try and compete a certain consoles library or only consider the expensive games the better ones in my collection. I buy games and merch that i enjoy and have enjoyed!  :)

I think one of my latest purchases that I'm chuffed about it a Japanese boxed version of Chrono Trigger. Just something about that game! I'm heading back to Tokyo in January and you know ill be game hunting again ::)

Hardware and Tech / Re: New Nintendo 3DS XL vs. 2DS XL

I enjoy the 3D option on the 3DS and use it often but feel sometimes it can strain the eyes a little but that could be due to the playtime as well. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer really. It boils down to price, if you are on a smaller budget i'd go for the new 2DS but if you can spare the extra for the new 3DS grab one of those instead at least then you'll have the 3D option available  :)

I think most recognize the vita as a bit of a flop over here in the UK, but it certainly has it's fans still. The thing that shocked most people in my opinion what the price of the games and memory card for the vita, a total of put to some people. I personally bought one but sold it due to the lack of games at the time but I am open to picking another up at some point.

Me and my partner have just come back from tokyo and it was amazing to see the large vita sections with all the Japanese exclusives, it wasn't as big as the Nintendo DS or 3DS sections but they weren't to far off. I wish the exclusives were ported more often I think it would help with the vita and Wii U's sales.
