User Feedback / seizure

I recently bought Theresia on the DS from seizure. A very good experience! Very reasonable price, excellent communication, and good shipping. Definitely would buy from again!

Long shot, but I'm looking for the game 'Touch Detective II" on the DS: specifically the PAL French version, not the NTSC version. Let me know if you would be willing to sell!

Hello all,

I'm trying to get my hands on a Rad2x cable for the Saturn. They are presently out of stock and I'm eager to play some new games at a higher resolution. I'm also open to a retrotink if anyone has one.

Let me know!

Classic Video Games / Re: Why do many retro gamers hate on the Xbox?
« on: December 05, 2017, 10:52:18 pm »
I don't like it because it's an ugly, massive, western looking console. It just screams American early 2000s design, and that rubs me the wrong way. The first controller was massive, and the console is shaped like a massive X. Thanks, but I don't have room for that. I guess I'm a stickler for aesthetics. Japanese console design is much better.

Plus, because it was a console for a US market, it's lacking a lot in the games I like to play. Western games just have a different feel and aesthetic design, and that's just not my thing. It's a shame the Xbox holds so many amazing SEGA games. That's its saving grace. I'm just waiting for emulation so I can play them.

I've had my Dreamcast for years, but really only ever played Sonic Adventure, and then a few years later Jet Set Radio, on it. I really only got it in the first place because it was a SEGA console. I never got rid of it though, out of some sort of weird reverence. Now, I'm going back and truly exploring the library. Sometimes, you really just need to focus on one console at a time.

I think a good lot of these series will be from SEGA. When they were in their prime, their games were absolutely amazing. Now, we get Yakuza, which I've heard is quite good, but otherwise their game output seems super lacklustre.

My picks (echoing quite a few others!):
Jet Set Radio
Panzer Dragoon
NiGHTS
Skies of Arcadia
The World Ends With You
Streets of Rage (something like Mania would be fantastic)
We Ski? (bonus nostalgia choice)

Then again, you can't trust SEGA to do much right so I'm not sure...

Making a new topic because I have quite a few games I'm looking for and wanting to trade. I am still looking for a model 2 Saturn controller, but have a bunch of games I'm looking for too, and wanted to make a general thread.

Here's what I have:
Super Paper Mario - Wii (Nintendo Selects) - like new
Sonic Heroes - Gamecube - Plastic case torn in a few spots, sticker on manual and disc
Crazy Taxi - PS2 - Very good
Crash Bandicoot Wrath of Cortex - Gamecube - tear on front plastic of case, no manual
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle - Gamecube (Player's Choice) - art slightly warped, no manual, sticker on disc
Sonic Unleashed - Wii - very good
Virtua Racing - 32X - CIB
Motocross Championship - 32X - CIB
Metal Head - 32X - CIB
Golf Magazine 36 Great Holes - 32X - CIB
Bram Stoker's Dracula - Sega CD - Complete (w/o foam insert), but case in poor condition, crack on front, broken bottom hinge.
Stargate - Genesis - no manual
X-Men - Genesis - CIB
Cool Spot - Genesis - CIB

Looking for (with at least case):
Ico - PS2
Jet Set (Grind) Radio - DC
Chu Chu Rocket - DC
Crazy Taxi - DC
Code Veronica - DC
Parasite Eve - PS1
Katamari Damacy - PS2
Okami - PS2
Ecco the Dolphin - DC
Saturn model 2 controller

Let me know if you are interested! I can also provide photos, just ask :)

EDIT: I'd also be willing to combine any of the games for others, depending on what it is. Same for the controller. All games are NTSC-NA

I also have two US SNES controllers that I could trade. Again, for a Saturn model 2 controller.

Hey, so I have a model 1 US Saturn controller that I'd like to trade. I personally don't like the controller at all, and wish I just had a model 2 one. So if anyone is interested, in trading a model 2 controller for a model 1 controller, please mail me! I know this is a bit bizarre of a request, but since it seems that model 1 controllers currently cost more, I figured that if anyone needed one for collection purposes, this sort of trade might make sense.

Colour really isn't important. Though if I were able to choose, I think I'd choose the grey one  :)

I live in the United States.

Classic Video Games / Re: Help me give my Saturn some love!
« on: March 06, 2015, 05:36:08 pm »
I'm looking for suggestions as well. Mostly I will be getting some shmups from japan, but I was wondering if there were any good story driven games on the Saturn (PAL or NTSC). I am aware that SEGA specializes in arcade style quick game play, but I do love story driven games and I was wondering about suggestions. Also, I would rather not play any turn based RPGs.

I'm going to say ahead of time that I'm not the best at video games. I also need to say that I'm not going to list these by full completion. So if I dont get all the chaos emeralds in sonic 1, I don't consider that not completing the game.
Genesis:
Sonic 1
Altered Beast
Shadow Dancer

Sega CD:
Mansion of the Hidden Souls
Sonic CD

Sega 32X:
Cosmic Carnage

Wii:
We Ski
We Ski and Snowboard
Super Mario Galaxy
Mario Party 8

Arcade:
Gyruss
Dodonpachi

Gamecube:
Super Mario Sunshine

Game Boy and GBC:
Heinyanko Alien
Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle
Warioland 2
Pokemon Crystal
Pokemon Gold
Links Awakening

Nintendo DS:
Big Bang Mini
MarioKart DS
Sonic Rush
Kirby Superstar Ultra
Pokemon Diamond
Pokemon Black

Sega Master System:
The Ninja
Transbot

That Might not be all, so I'll edit it if I need to.

General / Re: Konami vs. Capcom, Who Do You Prefer?
« on: September 05, 2013, 12:26:59 am »
For me it's quite simple and biased. Konami. They made Gyruss, which is my favorite game of all time. Plus they made Snatcher, Contra and Castlevania. Besides, Capcom is a pretty bad company today. Though I did enjoy 1943 and Street Fighter.

Site Feedback / Pie Chart
« on: September 05, 2013, 12:22:43 am »
I don't know if I missed something, but I recall that I used to be able to see my collection in a pie chart. Does anyone know what happened to it?
Thanks

Streets of Rage. Honestly, it was one of my favorite games on the Genesis. It would be awesome if they made a sequel like Double Dragon Neon. There was one in the works, but I think it was scrapped.

I just got Sonic 3D blast on Saturn. It looks like it's coming in good condition too.
