I tried, really tried to get into Blitzball and I just couldn't do it. I had a hard time with the mechanics and stats. In all I really do like FFX, the combat system in particular. I'd say it's my 4th most played Final Fantasy game.

I'm the same way - I've played through FFX 2.5 times (stopped half-way through my last playthrough because they announced the HD remake) and every time I tell myself this is going to be the time I get into Blitzball.  Hasn't happened yet.  I wonder if trophies will be enough to finally push me into it?

Wow, thank you for this thread.  I knew they were expensive, but I had no idea they were THAT expensive!  My GC has been hooked up to a SDTV in my game room for a while now, and if I wanted to play any GC games in 480p I'd just put them in my Wii & use its component cables.  My set have been sitting in a bin tucked away in my closet.  I need some extra cash to cover all of the RPG CE's coming out in the next couple of months, and selling these will help a ton.   ;D

I have had this thought as well, it would be interesting to be able to mark which games I've completed.

If it makes you feel any better (and it probably won't) the preorder was already sold out by December.  :( Namco did announce this week that they're producing 3,000 more copies than they originally planned, so it may go back up for preorder again soon.

Video Game Database Discussion / Re: NEW Duplicate Listing Thread
« on: December 13, 2013, 11:22:47 am »
Hopefully this is the right place to post this - over the past few days I've noticed a lot of digital PSP games that have been categorized as Playstation Network (Vita).  I know the Vita will play most digital PSP games, but that does NOT make them Vita games!  So instead of creating duplicates, I've been submitting changes to them, correcting their categories to Playstation Network (PSP).  I know whoever entered them already has them in their collection, but true Vita versions of these games don't exist anyway.  I thought this was a better solution than creating a new entry and letting the old incorrect ones stay.  Please let me know if I need to handle this differently.  :)

Probably the PS2. My favorite genre is RPG.

This makes absolute sense to me. Between the multitude of amazing games on the PS1 and the exclusives and compilations on the PS2, you could get nearly any RPG made on that system. Its my total favorite playable system cause of it. Im actually still looking for one game for it myself that I used to see everywhere so I just wasted time getting it and now I never see it in the wild at all : Ys ark of Napishtim.

That's one I'd like to pick back up as well.  FYI, I have always called that game "Ark of Nepitism".   :P

Probably the PS2 - even tho I've been gaming since the stone ages (I think my first video game was an actual Pong machine) I really love the PS2.  My favorite genre is RPG, and I enjoy collecting those across platforms.  Still kicking myself over some I've had & let go tho!

Hi all!  I've been submitting new game entries into the database something fierce over the past month or so, so I thought I should probably pop my head into the forums to meet the community.  :)

Love the site btw, it's by far the best formatted vg database I've found on the net.
