The Triad power adapter I ordered came in last night. Won't get to test it till this weekend but just holding it I can already tell its like 1000% better than any of the stuff I could have gotten off Amazon/Ebay

All the Telltale games.  Just playing through the story will net you a plat.

I really want to play through the walking dead games at some point. I'm gonna keep an eye out for the full collection!

I would say Horizon Zero Dawn. It's about 40-45 hours, nothing is missable and it's not overly challenging.

Ohh I like the idea of this, Horizon Zero Dawn is already on my list to play this year... hmm

Lots of good ideas so far! thanks guys keep'em coming

When it comes to playing games, I've never really been a completionist; closest I ever got was in 2000, me and a buddy spent the entire summer trying to get to 105% in Crash Bandicoot but only made it to 100%... After that I never really cared about completing a game, I just play through the story and do what ever side quests/missions I want till I get bored. So this year, one of my gaming goals will be to obtain my first PSN Platinum trophy.

So I'm coming to you to ask for suggestions. I want it to be a game that's not insanely difficult (Please no Dark Souls) but also I'd like to feel a sense of accomplishment after finishing it, also nothing that will take me like 200 hours to get lol. So with that what are some good games to be my first Platinum?

DO NOT use any generic three-in-one or two-in-one adaptors from eBay or Amazon, they're garbage and cause noise in the video signals and various other issues.

Yup this is exactly what I was seeing on pretty much every adapter on amazon. I did some more digging and found this thread on Atari Age which suggested this AC Adapter. I went ahead and ordered one, I'll report back here when it comes in and I test it out.

Can anyone recommend a good replacement AC adapter for a Genesis Model 1. Everything I see on Amazon has terrible reviews, it looks like they all are a little under powered and cause a bit of interference with the video signal?

3. God of War 3 Remastered (PS4) - 1/17
The more I play of this series the more I love it; I cannot believe I’ve slept on these games for so damn long. 3 really felt like a turning point for the series, you can see exactly how the game evolved from a fixed camera action game into the 3rd person, single shot masterpiece that was God of War 2018.

4. Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon (3DS) - 2/1
Not going to lie, early on I wasn’t really digging it, it just seemed to lack some of the charm of the first game; BUT, I kept with it and I’m really glad I did. I wish they would have kept the unique “named” ghosts from the first game since catching the same like 8 ghosts gets old pretty quick, but having 5 different mansions each with its own theme and mechanics really helped keep the game fresh. Originally I was planning on skipping Dark Moon and going right to LM3 but in the end it was worth it.

Not handy, but I live in Microsoft's backyard so they turn up in the thrifts a lot. What price are you hoping for?
Like somewhere from $5-10 looking for something I can give a friend to go with the xbox I'm giving her as a gift.

Are you looking for plain black or is another color fine? I have a spare or two around that I would like to get rid of. Let me know
Color doesn't matter at all, as long as its the S controller and in decent shape

Thanks guys!

Modern Video Games / Re: PS4 Remote Play

I bought a PS Vita primarily for the remote play option, and was really disappointed when the gameplay was stuttery garbage.

If you haven't already the PC or Mobile apps a chance. It's way better than the Vita remote play

Really overlooked feature!

It really is, I previously tried it with my vita and wasn't happy with the results so I just gave up. The PC app is WAY better!

Modern Video Games / PS4 Remote Play

I recently started using the PS4 Remote Play feature on my laptop and holy shit has it changed gaming for me! My wife is often hogging the tv (I'm cool with it) so I usually resort to some sort of handheld system/my switch, but after figuring out that I can play my PS4 through my laptop its all I want to use now lol and it makes me even more excited for the PS5 to come out.

Anyone else using remote play?

This might be a longshot, but would anyone happen to have an Original Xbox Controller (S type) in good condition for sale at a good price, or would be willing to trade for like a PS1 or N64 controller?

Second game of the year was Pokémon Sword on the Nintendo Switch. I’ve been a Pokémon fan since Red/Blue and I had some mixed feelings going into this one. There’s been a lot of complaining about how there was no national dex and how the graphics could have been way better, but I can say that none of that mattered. The graphics fit the game perfectly, there were PLENTY of Pokémon to catch, and all the quality of life improvements made this easily the best Pokémon game in my opinion. With all this said... I have no intention of picking up the expansion pass that was just announced. I finished the game, got my legendary, I'm done and on to something else.
