Little Big Planet 3 looks pretty awesome, it's nice to see the addition of new characters instead of just more of the same stuff from the previous games. That white PS4 is pretty sexy looking too.  :D Actually, I'm liking most of Sony's conference.
Also, is the Playstation TV we're getting the same as the Playstation Vita TV Japan got?  ???

I haven't had a lot of experience with patching ISOs, though I do have experience with custom firmware to use for making legitimate backups of ISOs, using custom themes, etc. Hopefully I can help to at least you get started with the process.
You're going to need to install some custom firmware first if you haven't already. You're going to need to do that if you want to make a legitimate rip of the ISO of your copy of Valkyria Chronicles 3. You're also going to need CFW anyways in order to run the patched ISO,  regardless of how you got it. The steps you take to install CFW on your PSP is going to depend on the model you have. The PSP1000 is the easiest for this part. The PSP2000 is fine, though I've heard there are a some differences in the earlier and later PSP2000 models that need to be taken into consideration when installing your chosen CFW. From what I've read regarding the PSP3000 and PSPGo, they're a bit less than ideal for fiddling with.
As for the firmware to use, I use 6.60 PRO-C on my PSP1000.
If I didn't explain things well enough, please feel free to ask more questions.  :)
I hope I'm not too late to be of any help.  :-[

If it's already been said ==>

Digital-Only game releases  >:(

Digital only releases may suck, but at least it's marginally better than not getting a release at all... sorta.  ??? Except for when it costs just as much as it should for a physical copy of the game.  >:(

Yeah, maybe it wouldn't bother me as much if the "in theory" part of it (the part that digital-only releases should be passing-on the savings to the customers as the manufacturers are *obviously* saving costs by not issuing physical releases) carried-over into the "in practice/reality" part (where, I've seen newly-released digital titles selling for as much as (sometimes even *more* than) than the physical versions  >:(

I mean, I'm all about choice ==> if it was up to me, every game would get both a physical & a digital release...so...for those who don't mind spending (a hypothetical) $10 - $20 extra to own it physically are happy - as well are those who just want to play the game being able to do so at a bit of a savings  :o

Absolutely, I agree completely. I think that Steam handles digital releases relatively well, with some exceptions of course. Frequent sales, discounts, etc. Though their launch prices for many games are just as high as what it would cost for a physical copy (if of course it's actually available physically), which I don't agree with. In my opinion Nintendo handles digital releases fairly poorly, with Sony being a bit better, but not by much.
Except from a collector's standpoint, screw digital-only releases. Especially when some regions get them and others don't, like with Senran Kagura Burst last year. Digital only for NA but a physical release for Europe?  :'( That reminds me of another pet peeve, region locking on consoles and handhelds.  :(

With my mame cab I use the tank stick from xarcade and it is fantastic. You can even get adapters for all of the current and other consoles back to the PS1. They do make a single player, more portable version. They are a little pricey but they are made very very well and come with a lifetime warranty. They are made with actual arcade parts so it feels like arcade controls.

Wow, that's actually perfect. I'm more than willing to pay extra for something I can use on all of my consoles. It's a much better option than buying a different one for each console. The shipping to Canada isn't too bad either, considering its size and weight.
Thanks, awesome recommendation!  ;D

The rising prices of new games in Canada.  :( That, and also random encounters in any RPG that isn't a first-person dungeon crawler. I just feel like it takes away from exploration when I get into a fight when I'm trying to get my bearings. It doesn't ruin the experience for me, I'm fine with them in older games like the old Dragon Quest/Dragon Warrior games and Final Fantasy. It just feels like a real nuisance sometimes.

I'm looking at getting a good arcade fight stick for my PS3, and was wondering if I could get some recommendations on one that any of you have had personal experience with. Your input is highly appreciated!  :D

I've recently preordered XBlaze Code: Embryo (Vita version), Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, and IA/VT Colorful. I really wish Idea Factory International had a limited edition version of HDN Re;Birth1, I'm kinda disappointed. If NIS America had localized it, we'd definitely be getting a limited edition.  :'(

Dark Sector is an underrated game.  :)
One of the employees that was there when I bought it also said it was great. I'm looking forward to playing it... eventually, heheh.  ::)

In no particular order at all:
1. Corpse Party: Blood Drive (PS Vita)
2. Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem (WiiU)
3. Freedom Wars (PS Vita)
4. Persona 4 Dancing All Night (PS Vita)
5. Persona 5 (PS3)
I'd really like to see some SMT x Fire Emblem. It's been way too long since I've heard anything about that game.  :'( Last summer's SMT IV and Fire Emblem Awakening promotion on Club Nintendo was such a tease. :-\

I found a new copy of the limited edition of Killer is Dead (PS3) at one of the EB Games locations in my city for $20. At a different EB Games, I found a copy of Dark Sector (PS3) for $3. I'm also waiting on my copy of Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection (PS Vita) to arrive in the mail from NIS America's online store.

Mine is currently Fujioka Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club. For a while it was Ryotaro Dojima from Hiimdaisy's Persona 4 comic, which I had read since I finally got around to getting and playing through Persona 4 Golden.

*aaaaand now it's Teddy from Persona 4

Pat the NES Punk just posted a fairly in-depth review of the Retron 5. I thought it was pretty helpful and worth watching. It's nice to see that more and more people are getting to reviewing the console, though its flaws are really starting to show through now.  :-\

Awesome news!  You guys probably remember the site that was polling for interest in a physical edition of Class of Heroes 2G for the PS3 - they said if they reached a certain number of interested buyers (I wanna say 5k?  maybe 7k?) they would make them & sell them for $40/each.  And as some of you may remember, the last time we checked in on that poll it was nowhere close to that.  Well they've decided that since many of the people on their forums that were interested indicated they would pay a bit more if necessary to get the physical copy, they will produce them after all and sell them for $50 + $4 shipping each.  I'm definitely OK with that!  :D

They're opening up sales next week & will keep them open a month, at the end of that month they cut them off & however many they sold is how many they'll make.  No more ever, that's it!  So if you want one (or two, or in Kenny's case 7 :P) then you'll want to GET ON THAT!  Here's the site link where you can read the details for yourself & also put your email address down to be contacted when preorders open.

Very happy!  :D

Wow, this summer really isn't going easy on my wallet.  :'(
Can somebody help clarify things for me? Do we need to sign up for the mailing list thing in order to be able to preorder a copy? Are we ordering the game through their website and using another method to pay?

No, the sign up is just to be notified when they start taking preorders.  You'll only be able to order it through their website, and I'm sure when they start taking orders they'll have all the usual payment methods (cc, paypal, etc.).

Alright, awesome, thanks. :)

Has anyone here had any experience with the PSP versions of those four SNK compilations? Would the issues with the console versions be made worse on the PSP?
