You write over the name again in dry erase marker?
Yes. Then wipe it off with a tissue or something. Comes right off. Might have to do 2 passes though.
My wife and I have been doing this for years.
........
I know this is an old thread, but .....
I was in a thrift store today looking for games, when I saw a bag full of "dry erase markers" and several bottles of "white board cleaner" for $2.80, and I remembered reading this thread. I figured what do I have to loose?
I was able to quickly remove the "permanent magic marker" from over a dozen NES and SNES cartridges. The "dry erase marker" removed the "permanent magic marker", and the "white board cleaner" removed the "dry erase marker" residue.
Then, I used some "Goo-Gone Pro" to remove some sticker residue from the cartridges.
These cartridges have not looked this good in over 20 years.
Next up, restoring my N64 cartridges.
