The Top 14 Games You Think You Spent The Most Time Playing

It is interesting because we can actually track playtime these days, and I can't make a real good estimation of some games vs others. Based on how long I have played certain games that I know the time, so any others are merely guesses. The top three are set in stone for certain and in the correct order, despite not being tracked. I didn't consider modding time in these guesses, as that would have put games like NHL06 into the #4 spot.

I don’t think the OP is specifically asking for playtime, but more in the sense of how long have you sat down to play a game, as in sitting down to play a game for a whole day, perhaps two in a row versus counting/clocking the time you’ve been playing. I mean, I could be wrong, but that’s the impression I get when he says “[t]here are some games I remember playing, for vary long play sessions…” Keyword being sessions. That’s what my answer is being based on.

1. EverQuest (Three different accounts. Two in which I dual boxed.)
2. World of Warcraft (Pales in comparison to my EQ days, but nonetheless I clocked a lot of time into this MMORPG.)
3. Final Fantasy VI (My all-time favorite game. I've played this start-to-finish over 50 times at least.)
4. Warcraft III (Most of the time is from playing skirmishes.)
5. Diablo 2 (Multiple playthroughs over the years.)
6. Final Fantasy VII (Normally a game I play once a year.)
7. Chrono Trigger (Completed every ending, and play it once a year.)
8. Gears of War 2 (I wish I knew the amount of time I clocked playing horde mode and the time to 100% the achievements.)
9. Gears of War 3 (Absolutely loved playing this with 3 other friends.)
10. Phantasy Star III (My first JRPG and I didn't know what I was going. Multiple restarts, branching generations, and backtracking.)
11. Final Fantasy X (Yearly play, plus platinuming the game.)
12. Diablo (Still play it at times to this day, and was my first online game.)
13. NHL 18 (I own several of the NHL releases, but none of the others compare to the time I put into 18's Franchise mode.)
14. Ken Griffey, Jr Baseball (Loves this game on the SNES. I never completed a season since the saves would always erase, along with the edited teams.)

Hmmm... This is a bit of a guess, but I think I have an Idea(order may be slightly off). I checked the playtimes where applicable.

1. Ragnarok Online (I play this on and off, but have done so for years, so I think it's safely assumed 1st.)
2. Animal Crossing: New Leaf(314 hr.)
3. Splatoon 2 (210 hr.)
4. Pokemon: Soul Silver (141 hr.)
5. Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (117 hr.)
6. Rune Factory 4 (104 hr.)
7. Tales of Graces F (I've played through this game with three different people)
8. Kingdom Heart II.5 Remix
9. Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town
10. Harvest Moon DS Cute
11. Harvest Moon: Magical Melody (AWL would be in this spot instead though if I combined all three versions of the game I'm sure, but I decided not to combine anything.)

The only 2 games I know the play times for sure are at the top, the rest is guesswork:

Those last 4 were while I was in college. I would neglect my studies to play those games for hours on my PC. And yes, I included TMNT arcade...playing through it only takes 20-30 minutes, but I’ve played through it so many times I can’t count, both in the arcade and via emulator.

Tough question since time played isn’t something I really pay attention to that much unless my real life is being affected negatively but there are some games I know I have spent a lot of time with

1.  Borderlands 2 (over 800 hours...heh)
2.  Final Fantasy XI Online (600+).  In fact flunked out of a year of college due to this game
3.  Fallout: New Vegas (300)
4.  Bioshock Series (200+) First one is my favorite game of all time and the reason I bought a 360
5.  Skyrim (150+)
6.  Final Fantasy 7 (100+)
7.  Xenogears (80+)
8.  Final Fantasy 12 (80+)
9.  Borderlands (75+)
10.  Armored Core Series (60+)
11.  Final Fantasy IV & VI (60+)
12.  Metal Gear Solid Series (60+)
13.  Ratchet & Clank Series (40+)
14.  Assassin’s Creed Series (40+)
