Rather than just focusing on my favourite games, I tried to make a diverse list  that includes games that make use of the 2nd controller. I could have forced more genres like puzzle games in but really I wanted to put forward games that define the console and era - I don't care much for strategy games but I know Command and Conquer was a big deal back then.

Other than that I agree entirely with what was previously posted, I can't beat the list provided by vivigamer or spyrofanx. In fact I wish the every game they both provided, was included in the PlayStation 1 classic. Because the games they listed are quite expensive to buy, and I don't have a lot of them.
