House Sitting: which system to take along?
« on: May 21, 2012, 02:22:37 pm »
So, I get to go to the folks house over the weekend to watch their dogs. Now I need to decide on a console to take with me, since lugging my desktop for Diablo is out of the question. The only requirements are that it has to be either the 360, Wii or PS3, so I have access to Netflix. Also I currently have a game I want to play on each system.

For 360 I am working on polishing off the achievements in Borderlands, on Wii I am playing Xenoblade Chronicles and on PS3 I have started up Persona 3 FES again.

So yeah, I need to make a decision by Wednesday night so I can pack up the system, controllers and a couple games.
Now Playing: Persona 5 Scramble, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8

Would you have wifi available for your consoles while you're over there?

I'd bring along one of the portable consoles, too, if you're playing any of those.
Currently playing:
FFXIV (PC), The Witcher (PC), Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (PS4)

Oh yeah, there is wifi. Which makes taking the 360 slightly less appealing. Since I'd have to run Ethernet cables through the house to get connected.

PS3 100% ... the Wii simply does not have hardly anything to keep you occupied an entire weekend (unless you did pick up Xenoblade) and the Xbox 360 is still an Xbox system so it sucks!! :P

Get the PS3 and grab a few awesome PS1 rpgs with ya and enjoy the weekend the way it was meant to be - classic awesome PS1 fashion. :)

From what you want to play I would say the PS3.... but I still love my 360!

It's most excellent. I really dig the story so far and the game mechanics (though gem crafting still confuses me). I really dig both Xenoblade and P3FES tho and want to see their stories, which is why I am torn between the Wii and the PS3 mostly. The biggest problem I am having is, there are tons of distractions in my house, so focusing on Persona 3 FES is hard. So taking my PS3 and P3FES with me gives me a ton of quiet time to focus on it, which makes me lean more toward the PS3 this trip.
