Hello, just wanted to know why the description I originally had for Mega Man Battle Network [DE][NL] got changed?

https://vgcollect.com/item/190018

Part of it was describing the box and manual variation (having EUU printed on the flaps and manual). Is this considered unneeded information? If that's the case I will stop including it in descriptions.

Likely too wordy, use of adjective or opinion related terms, or referring to other things besides the item itself.

I compared it to the EUR variant which is on me, but if I were to re-edit in the information about the box and manual being marked EUU would that be accepted?

Yes such as

Box flap/manual item number:

Found this obscure Playstation 2 game that is sectioned in the Playstation 1 section, could it be swapped?

1Print games are a relatively new publisher.  At the end of this post I've got listings for 2 of their 3 games.  The games are currently listed under Switch [JP], product codes for the games are ASI not JPN, and don't have CERO ratings.  Company exists/ships out of Japan though.  It seems like these should be under Switch [CN].  On a related note, I wonder if we should split/reorganize the Switch regions.  Technically Switch[CN] should be the Tencent region locked CN releases, and we should probably have a Switch[HK] for the non-rated (Read as non-TW) Switch releases with ASI product codes.  I'm trying to get some information out of some folks who work in those regions for more information.

Edit:  seems like these are produced in singapore, as are the paex games.  So maybe Switch [AS]?

AS is American Samoa
Style Guide indicates to use the [CN] category for all SEA releases where a category doesn't exist. Think of treating CN like EU.

Hmmm. I think I'd like to suggest a conversation about that then.  Using [CN] to cover all of SEA doesn't seem like the right way to go.  ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 provides a series of alpha-2 codes that can be user assigned and the ISO 3166/MA will never use the codes in updating process of the standard.  I'd like to put forward the suggestion of using something like AA or XA for SEA categories.  Merge Switch[TW] and Switch[CN] into Switch[XA] and use TLDs like the [EU] categories or further split the Switch categories into Switch[HK], Switch[SG], Switch[TW], and leave Switch[CN] for the Chinese region locked releases.

In general, the yellow dot means EU version for import to non EU territory. The game itself would typically have an import label on it when in sealed form to identify where they come from. The NFR being the exception, since that would have been included in a console.

I will look into 182100 and 182098 to see if I can tell what ratings those are using since they are not documented here.

0 Kara no Shogi: Shogi Youchien Ayumi-Gumi - Limited Edition

I can't find any evidence of a Limited Edition or even a SLPS-02044 variant for this title. I originally made this entry early when I first started going through PlayStation [JP] before approaching entries more in-depth. The images currently used for 185213 are taken from the standard version.

Seems to be the LE with SLPS-01986 and JAN of 4537744093259 exists but a non-LE with the other information does not.

Back in 2018, I added the very rare Speed Devils "Clean" Variant for the North American Sega Dreamcast: https://vgcollect.com/item/151251

Originally, the standard release was simply named Speed Devils (as is expected), and I named my new variant Speed Devils (clean cover) according to the style guide.

However, I see earlier this year that Admin tripredacus updated the names of both games, changing the variant to simply Speed Devils, and changing the standard release to Speed Devils (devil cover).

This seems odd to me, since I'd think we'd want to highlight the much less common variants and releases with descriptors, and leave the standard release with the standard title.

Was this simply an oversight? If I re-edit the "clean variant" to add a descriptor in parentheses, will it be rejected? Since the Admin was the one who made these changes to both titles, I assume they are the expert and would not want to attempt to overwrite their change, but since it feels "off" I wanted to double check first.
