Rejected Edit:

Evolution: The World of Sacred Device
Sega Dreamcast [EU]
https://vgcollect.com/item/85864

Current back image is of the French/Italian/Dutch release
https://www.mobygames.com/game/dreamcast/evolution-the-world-of-sacred-device/cover-art/gameCoverId,174115/

English EU release is:
https://www.mobygames.com/game/dreamcast/evolution-the-world-of-sacred-device/cover-art/gameCoverId,64365/

Back image in use would require another entry with TLD's

Back image came with entry, cannot change it to a different version. Fixed entry. You can add a new entry for the EU version.

Rejected edit:

Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
Sega Mega Drive [AU]

Alt-Name is not 'Bonus' just because its on the back instead of a barcode

Bonus is a search term. Refer to here:
https://vgcollect.com/forum/index.php/topic,10837.msg178097.html#msg178097

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
PlayStation 3 [AU]
https://vgcollect.com/item/26234

Barcode is for a platinum release, no cover or other information supplied.
Edited entries to be correct by the title of just 'Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood', but all were rejected

Entry conversion is not allowed. If the information present are for the Platinum, then the entry has the wrong name. We do not allow you to change it to a different release.

Question regarding editing posts.

What is the order to consider priority of the information on an entry before editing to correct or adding other entries for variants?

Would it be: Image > Title > Data
e.g. Title of entry should be changed to match the image and data to follow?
I thought Title would be first then changes made to match, just want to clarify for further entries to save time.

The instances where a picture put is wrong outweighs a wrong barcode. Barcode should take priority over a picture and title. Also need to consider the history of the entry. Original data will always outweigh edits.

Thanks for clearing that up, just trying to get some of these entries correct and get them right myself.

As far as I know, these books have no relation to any video game:

There is no other item in this category with this title, so the TLD should not be put. You can put into description that it is released in Netherlands. Alternatively, if there is a UK version that has no entry, it can be created and then you can put [NL] on this item.

Tld isnt put on items that are from the UK, or have their native language in the title, you break your own rules now.

No, it has always been this way. From the Style Guide:

Quote
TLD is only required on items to prevent a situation where two or more items would have the same name, but are actually different items and not duplicates.

So as I said, the TLD is not required on that entry because there is no other entry with the same title in that category. If this is only the case because we are missing the UK or English EU release, then that should be added and then the NL version can get NL in the title.

We know thats not gonna happen, unless you do it.

The one thing that they are gonna try is put the UK back with this item, so to makes things easy, so they make a new item, we put NL on it. But its your database........

On the subject of TLD's..

https://vgcollect.com/item/133459
I had a rejected change to: Outlaw Golf [DE][FR]
Cover has german USK rating, French SELL and French ATTENTION label

https://vgcollect.com/item/190078
Only has ELSPA

Haven't had to touch TLD's much yet, so not sure where I went wrong  with this one. (I read the TLD section twice)

As posted in the previous example, usually a TLD would be rejected (besides it being wrong) is if there is only 1 entry in the category for that game. I do not know if the new entry you made was present at the time the edit appeared in the queue, it could be possible that was why it was rejected. It is fixed now.

I do know that EU sections are not complete with all of the versions, and in leiu of creating the missing UK versions, you can put into description the release country of the TLD-less/non UK version. So that it is know that it should have a TLD when the UK version is added, and when that time comes then the release country in description can be removed and the TLD added.

I only submitted the one because I figured it'd get rejected... so here I am again.

New'N'Tasty! Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
https://vgcollect.com/item/188022

Every release except this one is labeled as 'Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty!'

I submitted an edit, not for 'Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty!', but for what is shown on GameFAQs 'Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee: New 'n' Tasty'.

Be aware that not everyone that goes through the edit queue posts in the forum or reads this thread. I didn't reject the edit that was posted about, so I can only post a possible reason why the edit was rejected.

I remember doing this reject on your edit but it was because it had the hyphen as shown on that site "Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - New 'n' Tasty" If you did a different edit using the (correct) formatting as shown in your post, it should have been approved.
