Item Updates

Earlier last week, the Lego Ideas Sonic the Hedgehog set leaked, and I rushed to add the item to the catalogue as quickly as I could, using an image of the leak I found online. However, a few days later, Lego officially revealed the set, and I used the official image of the box and added that one to the set's page over the leaked one. However, when I did so, the official box art was rejected over the leaked one by one of the admins. Why is that? To clear up any confusion, I've included both the leaked and official images of the set's box.

I handled this edit submission. When comparing the two images, I could quickly tell that the newly-submitted image was stock art whereas the existing image was not. In many cases, stock art is outdated and incorrect. If the leaked image is indeed the actual artwork, then it is another example of this trend being true.

However, I admittedly did not notice the box art differences when first comparing the two images. The reason I rejected the edit was for the submitted image being lesser quality than the existing image, as the existing image shows the item from a straightforward viewing angle without any spines or other sides showing.

All that said, the image art for this entry should ideally remain unedited until it is confirmed at release what the artwork really is, given the circumstances for how this entry's images were submitted.
