There have been other Christmas Story sequels though. Some better than others. None were Called A Christmas Story 2 though.

EDIT: They are really all movies based on Jean Sheperd's book of stories, In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash. But they all follow Ralphie and his family. They are:

It Runs In The Family
Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss
The Great American Fourth of July and Other Disasters
The Phantom of the Open Hearth

I've seen all but the last one, as far as I can remember. And used to watch Olliehopnoodles all the time on TV.

I did not know that! How very cool. I am going to have to look into watching them!
