This past weekend I got the nerve up to try my hand at SNES repair. I had a console with a broken power jack. Guess what. This guy is now able to desolder the old, broken one; and solder a new one in. This little bit of know-how opens up a whole new world of cheap stuff.

Finally unboxed my PS4 & have the controller charging up.

I ended up with it just to the left of (w/ about 6" in between them) my PS3.

Didn't realize it, but was EXTREMELY pleased to find out that my Bravia had 2 HDMI-in's instead of just the one that I was thinking it migt have had 

*Still* not any MUST plays for me on it (I'm thinking that Natural Doctrine may well be my 1st "real" (non-digital + full-length) game on it).

At least, this way, I'm getting all of the set-up, UPdates, DOWNloads, and ALL 'Round pain in the ass crap outta the way 

Popped in my disc for the Ultimate Edition TR game -and- I must say that the graphics are freakin' gorgeous & the controller is already my favorite one yet 

And in (depending on how you look at things:) good/bad news -but- (No Matter HOW you look at things:) *Sobering* news:

My total outstanding balance (for N1 pre-orders) = $1,001 ( > 2x what I paid for my 1st car to keep things in perspective)  ; 1st world problems...to be sure!

That's possibly a record (I can't remember if I got anything the time I got 2 Giclees on the same order, or not

It recently occurred to me how many 80's music groups just repeated a word for their band's name:
Duran Duran, Talk Talk, Mr. Mister, Danger Danger, Lisa Lisa (& Cult Jam).

Then I thought of all the 90's groups that were named 3 digit or 3 letter abbreviations:
311, 702, 112, NWA, TLC, POD, HIM, LFO, CKY, DMX

Interesting how that tends to happen.

nah, but N1 items have treated me pretty good as a rule (so, I expect that...eventually - my end/usual result will = me owning at least one of each LE for myself (for "free") w/ sales covering my costs so that I can continue to play for "free" (read: w/ other people's ("House")$) 

speaking of 80's (and earlier) music groups...

...I just found out that there's a new Judas Priest album (w/ all original band members except Downing) that, by default, just appeared on my "must have" list!

Just finished a n64 mod to play some import games that I've gotten from Japan recently. The dust cover plastic is a bit beat up from not having the best tools to work with, but it plays just fine. Also cleaned up a SNES for a friend.

As much as it pains me, I'm going to wait on Xillia 2. I really want that LE, but it's too expensive right now IMO. Since it's still available pretty much everywhere, I'm guessing they've overproduced this one & it will drop in price. It helps that I have a full plate right now with a ton more I am picking up on the way, so I'll hold out.

I really want Neptunia Rebirth, but it's coming a week before Danganronpa 2. Since there's no LE for it there's no reason for me to jump on it if I'm not going to play it right away, so...I'll be waiting on it too I suppose. 

I loved 3D Dot. Have been thinking about doing a second playthrough at some point, the next time there's a break in new releases I want to play (so, no time soon ).

Not very active on here as I am out of town and on mobile, but I did pick up the new Weird Al CD and it is fantastic. Also the Club Nintendo news is laaaaaaaaaaaaaame.

Picked up the new Judas Priest album today!

So far, I've only listened to the 1st few tracks while I was driving home -but- they are *exactly* what I would think of & what I would want and expect from a new JP album
