I thought this was cool, so I'm just gonna leave it right here:

Made me think she kind of looked like an evil Princess Zelda.

Who is she?

I have no idea. It was posted on a metal group I'm a part of on Facebook.

Does ever sadden any of you on how underrated a specific game is? Like how it deserves way more praise and recognition than it has received?

For me it is hands down Zone of the Enders and its sequel on the PS2. Such phenomenal action games with great stories. I think it never was able to get out of the shadow of Devil May Cry and later on God of War as being a very, very well made action title for the PS2. It's one of my favorite games of all time and it baffles me that not as many people talk about how awesome this game is.

I've heard Zone of Enders are pretty cool games from some reviews online. Is it better to get the originals on the PS2, or should I just get the HD Collection on the Xbox 360?

cool thing I learned about my retron 5 today. You can download translation patches very easily (even for non-tech-y people such as myself) and boot them up right alongside your games... Most of the games I want are fairly cheap to get from japan on ebay too.

It is pretty cool, it means you can play the Super Famicom Fire Emblem titles with english patches using official copies (which are pretty cheap to buy, and Japanese exclusives). I believe there also translation patches for some of the Dragon Quest games on the Super Famicom as well (also cheap to get).
You are correct on that. There are 100%english patches for the super famicom releases of dragon quest 1+2 as well as dragon quest 3, 5, and 6. Fire Emblem 3-Mystery of the Emblem has a 100% english patch, while 4 has about 88% translated+ completely playable, and 5 has a completely translated script and some menus translated. The FE Super Famicom translations have problems with their scripts/ translations stuff, so there is current work being done on more polished patches for the games in the upcoming future.

Just remembered another one, Front Mission for the SFC also has a full english translation patch. It too is very cheap to procure, cheaper than buying the DS port of the game that actually released in North America.

Yeah, the Dragon Quest games, Fire Emblem and Seiken Densetsu 3 were the main ones I was interested in. And I already had Front Mission Gun Hazard so that was a nice little bonus. Also thinking about getting Mother 3 on GBA too.

Edit: or maybe not on Mother 3 just now looking at ebay, lol

Yeah, unfortunately Mother 3 and Mother 1+2 on the GBA are pretty expensive. :( Mother 2 for the SFC is pretty cheap, but I doubt somebody made a translation patch for a game that actually got localized not too long after the Japanese release.
Currently playing: Persona 5 (PS4)

I think ZotE games have a pretty strong 'cult' following.

Zone of the Enders was a fun, but the second game was a blast. I can't recommend 2nd Runner enough.

In other news, yay for starting at my new job. However, certain websites are blocked because they have "game" in the URL. For this, I call bull-****. I'm a grown man who gets his work done. And you know what? If I want to check in on gaming news, I should be able to. This place blocks GameFAQs and siliconera, just to name a few. Yet, it has the audacity to leave sites like Facebook and youtube unblocked. Seriously, that is ridiculous.

It doesn't really "sadden" me.  I guess it sucks for the developers that put out the good game, but I don't know any developers.
It does give me something to tell folks about.  I love when I find an overlooked or unappreciated game that I can spread love for.

I love getting on here in the morning and there being tons of new stuff for me too look at.  This was a good morning.  Every little "New Post" icon was lit up and someone had watched my video.  This stuff makes my morning routine better.  :D

Yeah I kinda wish there were some games that DID get localized but still had translation patches out there. I know that sounds kinda stupid, but SFC games are sooooooooooooooooo much cheaper and I usually like the boxart on the japanese games better. I mean, as I said before I have no clue about things related to the technical aspects of coding or making a game, but I would think there would be some relatively easy way to rip the translated text out of a game that already has it and make it available as a patch for other regions.

Congrats on starting that new job, Kashy-Kash!

Once you've gotten enough of a feel for it - let me know how & what you are liking & not liking about it.

I'm wondering if those sites get blocked for the parts of their names that aren't "game".

EX. the "FAQS" (in G*FAQS), sounds like/can easily be misconstrued or mis-typed to link a lot of other "F" sites, and

- "silicon" can be taken as synonymous with Pam Anderson (and a multitude of other top-heavy models, actresses, and porn stars); which, in turn, can be taken as synonymous with nude/porn/before & after breast augmentation sites/pics, etc.

I wonder if you'd also be blocked from a site simply called "game"(s), as well...

Didya' snag yer copy of Tears to Tiara + art book yet?

Picked up mine this morning  8)

I ordered mine from Amazon so it will be a while before it arrives. That said, I've been keeping busy with Tales of Symphonia. I managed to get all of Lloyd's titles and the trophy that comes with doing that. His Gung Ho title was a real pain, but I persevered. The things I do for Tales... XD

Let me know how you like Tears to Tiara II if you play it before I get my copy!

First, I never get tired of the hunt

Second, that's a lot of games.  You have to have a lot empty space to grab that.  That's not even considering the cost.  $164,000?  My 2,200 sqft, 3 bedroom 2 bath house didn't cost that much.  What would it take to buy all those games separately on ebay?

Granted, that is a whole shitload of collecting.  He amassed this in 5 years?  That's a shitload of ebay.
