I just sold a bunch of stuff on eBay for lots of money. And I only use my eBay sales to further my game collecting so I now have no idea what to do with $300+ ... my last big buy was Suikoden II but now I am unsure what I want to buy. Some people throw ideas at me.

Is it necessary to have played the other Neptunia games first, or is Noire more of a stand alone side-story?

First, I watched that video. I think I'm going to hold off, too. Also, that guy's voice is a bit...grating. Does he always extend his words like that? O_o

Anyways, HD Noire (as far as I can tell) is a side-story. Apparently there was an online poll asking fans who they would like to see featured in the next game, and Noire won. Are you interested in the series? It's gotten better with age, but it still needs some tweaking.

Outside of PDS which is obvious what would you recommend? Maybe I'll get an Ogre Battle game. Really I use eBay money like this to find things I assume I'll never find in the wild (aka Suikoden II CIB).

My understanding is that, while it's set in the same universe & has some recurring themes, jargon/lingo (a "cunning linguist"); indeed
& some cameos, etc -

it's its own game & story; making it unnecessary to have played all of the previous games

Man, that really sucks.   My ex blind-sided me by waiting until I went to visit my folks over the labor day weekend & then moving out. Luckily she didn't take any of my game stuff (except for the LE's of the original World of Warcraft & Burning Crusade) but I was still discovering DVDs I was missing years later.

I just stumbled across that guy's reviews last night, so I've only watched a few. He talks a LITTLE weird, I'll grant you, but to me it seems he's just not 100% comfortable with the whole process yet. I do like the way he presents his opinions tho, and he seems to do a really good job of covering the pros & cons of each game.

Thanks for the info/advice on Noire guys. I am interested in getting into the series at some point Kash, but right now I'm going to be using the credit I had down on Tokyo Twilight for something and none of my local Gamestops have Re;Birth 1 in stock (new or used ).  I really liked what I saw of Noire tho, so that's a strong possibility of what I'll pickup. Esp. since I could more easily get to a Vita RPG right now than something on a console - I should be wrapping up Sorcery Saga this week.

More people may have already gotten it (not super likely that too many have, given the rarity of the game), but haven't registered their PSN account on PSNProfiles. I've gone down in rank on trophies that way before. Same goes for the % of people who have that trophy. Those stats are just for the users with accounts registered and updated on the site.

sure - had I kept up with its progress better & done more reading & research on it - I wouldn't have had the pleasant surprise of finding out that Hyperdevotion Noire has a double-sided insert (2 different cover arts to choose from:) 

Indeed - I find myself liking the non-default art work quite a bit more!
