« on: February 20, 2014, 03:21:03 pm »
most sites have the most anticipated AAA games of 2014 but no one seems to make an anticipated list for the games that don't have the
AAA pedigree, so what is you anticipated non AAA games of 2014?

the last crown: backenrock:the sequel to the cult classic the lost crown was my most anticipated game of 2013 and its still not out,
so i hope it will be in 2014

Hrm, off the top of my head I'd say:

Deception IV: Blood Ties
Demon Gaze
Drakengard 3
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle

Or, if you specifically mean indies:

The Witness
Fez (Vita)
Cuphead
Hotline Miami 2
Rogue Legacy (Vita)
Everybody's Gone To The Rapture
Rime

There are more too.  I like AAA games, but "off the beaten path" games have always been my bread & butter.  :)

Watch Dogs look cool.

But it's definitely the Wii U Zelda game, for me. I hope they embrace the old school a little more with this one, like they have with Mario and Metroid.

Phantasy Star Online 2. OK... I don't actually think it is coming out in the west. But it is not officially cancelled in the West.

I'm also kinda interested in Mad Max. I like playing bad franchise games based on 80s properties for some reason.

Did you like Ghostbuster: The Video Game? Loved that one. Such a love-letter to the film. And WAY better than the Ghostbusters video games we got back when the movie was current.

I STILL need to pick that up. I'm really surprised that I haven't yet, since I'm a really big fan of the films.

Ghostbusters is great!

And as much as I hate to say it, PSO2 is never coming out over here.  :(  On the bright side, Warframe has the same vibe to me and it's fantastic - and free to play.

Yeah, I totally missed the "non" part of the title when I read it at first.

Transistor, that's the other one I was trying to think of - it's a day-1 for me just based on how much I enjoyed Bastion.

Not sure if it classifies as a AAA game or not, but X on the Wii U looks so, so nice! Definitely getting a Wii U as soon as that games gets an official NA release date.

I agree. I'll be getting X when it releases, even though I don't have a Wii U.

Yes, Xenoblade is possibly my favorite game of last gen so I am VERY excited about X.  That recent gameplay clip that was released looked incredible.
