Good Offline co-op
« on: March 31, 2014, 05:54:47 pm »
I'm looking for fun offline co-op/multiplayer games for the 360, original xbox, ps2, ps1, or ps3. I'm going to my college's video game club more often and I'm going to be bringing my consoles because the only consoles the club president brings are a WiiU and a Wii. I figured I should beef up my collection of games that can be played with multiple people. I have a playstation move if that makes a difference but I doubt it will XD

Here are the games I own with offline co-op/multiplayer:

Playstation 1 & 2
Crash Bash
Super Galdelic Hour
Time Splitters Future Perfect
Star Wars Battlefront
Star Wars Battlefront 2
SSX
Simpsons Hi & Run

Playstation 3
Aliens: Colonial Marines - I bought it to piss of my friend XD
Dead Space 3
Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon
House of the Dead Overkill
Kung Fu Rider
Little Big Planet
Lost Planet 2
Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest
Motorstorm
Resident Evil 5
Resident Evil 6
Resistance 2
Resistance: Fall of Man
SoulCalibur IV
Sports Champions
Street Fighter IV

Xbox & xbox 360
Halo
Halo 2
Burnout Revenge
Deathsmiles
Gears of War 2&3
Halo 3
Rumble Roses xx
Scott Pilgrim Vs The World

Although, I still haven't picked this game up yet, Dragon's Crown for the PlayStation 3 has local co-op. The multiplatform X-Men Legends series also has good co-op.

DOUBLE DATE!

On the top of my head, this is what I remember having good offline co-op.  Depending on what you hear, I've been hearing good things about Contra: Shattered Soldier on the PS2.

By the way, do downloadable titles count in your search for local co-op?

I don't think instantreplay is interested in Nintendo or Sega games, sad as it may be, stethebubble...  Maybe ports or multi-platform, if applicable.

The Dynasty Warriors games have always been some of my favorite co-op games, tho I rarely get to play them that way anymore (they're still fun to me single-player tho :) ).  And DW8 is the best one in a long time, so I'd say go for that.
