My dupes:

NBA Jam - http://vgcollect.com/item/25103
Correct ID: 19345

WWE '12 - http://vgcollect.com/item/25127
Correct ID: 22079

BRUNSWICK PRO BOWING - http://vgcollect.com/item/25811
Correct ID: 25913

Ridge Racer: Unbounded - http://vgcollect.com/item/25844
Correct ID: 24493

These were mostly caused by my lack of thoroughly searching and I apologize. Can't wait to get the new search.

Suggestion time;
I'm not sure whether this would cause more problems than fix, but it's an idea. How about let the creators of item's delete them?
IE: If a person creates the item, then later finds out it's a dupe, they have the ability to remove it. This would also take a little of the responsibility and time off the mod's removing dupes.

I think what I'd rather do is have some sort of report feature on the item page itself. This'll alert an admin to handle it. So far we've been pretty on top of things and usually notice dupes before they are even reported here. At this point I don't think it's urgent but I'll pay some attention to it in a future release.

As a side note, I haven't had time to reply to you PM yet. I'll get to it later today for sure.

Fixed all but Ridge Racer: Unbounded, One is the limited edition and the other is not.

Maybe foxhack can reassign the others:

Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2    http://vgcollect.com/item/24059

mungular. Two things.

One, please post a link to the original and the dupe so we can fix things faster.
Two, PLEASE STOP DOUBLE POSTING. You're only cluttering up the thread. Edit your post and add new stuff as you find it. (Dangit, I wish we could just... merge posts...)

Edit:

Both have been reassigned.

Is this the right topic for pointing out games that are submitted but aren't out (or necessarily coming out any time soon)?

I've already mentioned Dragon Age III above, and yesterday, I noticed another one...Persona 5.

These were both in the PS3 category.

Can I get a poilicy/answer on what the case/deal is here w/ games like this (w/o even having a confirmed US release date)?

Thanks-

Personally, I don't like having them in the database until they come out.  Although, I guess as long as there is a confirmed release date, that's ok.  When we first started out, the database was populated mainly from outdated lists, some of which had games that were cancelled.  I spent quite a bit of time going through pretty much every listing, removing duplicates and cancelled games.

I agree...but...do the 2 above-mentioned games even have confirmed, N.A. release-dates?

There isn't an Operation Flashpoint 2. Dragon Rising was the second game in the series, so I guess it could be #2. But it wasn't released as "Operation Flashpoint 2."

I'll merge 'em.

They don't.

I say delete.

Yeah...I'd say "Delete", too.

Shouldn't something like that get caught, after submission ===> *During* / *Before* the "Approval" process / getting aproved?

Well the problem is, there is no approval process. Anyone can submit a game and have it immediately approved. It's led to many dupes.

This site's main feature, for better or for worse, is letting people add games they own without having to wait for an approver to sort it out. Then it's up to us to sort the dupes out. This feature is what made me stay here, since I don't have to wait two or three weeks for someone to approve a game.

Oh, Okay then...

I must have misread or misunderstood something that I read on this site awhile ago (...or I may have been thinking of one site - while thinking of the rules to another one).

I was also under the impression that when you receive "Notifications" = whatever you edited/added being approved.

I thought that here it was something like:

Submit Edit/New Game ===> Then the Edit/New Game will be verified/confirmed/approved by a mod/Admin ===> and then...the changes/newly added game will be revised/added to the database.

Like I said, I probably just misunderstood something that I read here :P
