Trails of Cold Steel has been confirmed for a launch date of 12/22 :) Looking forward to seeing that Lionheart Edition in person
It's been out in Europe for a while; I'm hoping it drops a bit in price in the next couple months so I can pick up both versions. I'm still really gutted that Trails in the Sky didn't get a physical release  :(
Doesn't Trails in the Sky have a EU physical release for the PSP like this?:   http://vgcollect.com/item/68907
Sorry typo; I meant Trails in the Sky SC

Every time I come back to this thread I cry while thinking about my wallet  :'( I have such a love-cry relationship with it.

You're not the only one!  ;D

These days I find myself conflicted between my collector side & gamer side. Like, I have a preorder down on the SE of Fire Emblem Fates...but I've never played a FE game before. I own 2 of them now, haven't played either one. So part of me says cancel it, I don't need to spend the money on "shelf decoration". The other part says keep it, because the preorder is already sold out & will be very expensive to get in the future.

So I updated the OP - archived last week's releases, saw one update and afaik nothing new has been announced. As always, if I missed something just let me know. :)  I thought it would be interesting tho...from this sub-set of games we all follow, which one was your 2015 GOTY? Your 2015 Niche Japanese GOTY, if you will. ;) Check out the archived list to refresh your memory on what all released that's included: http://xpbonus.com/released-niche-japanese-games/

Some great games released this year, but my pick is definitely Bloodborne. I've never gotten into any of the Souls games, but for some reason this one just grabbed me & wouldn't let go. I was obsessed with it for a few weeks there. Heck, I'm still itching to play the DLC, but I'm getting the import release that has the game & DLC on disk for Christmas so I have to wait a week. :)

Oh yeah, I don't think Xseed is gonna try a physical release for Second Chapter/Third Chapter since the sales for the First Chapter weren't very good.

Its odd that they brought Cold Steel over though; when you consider what you said.

I think Trails of Cold Steel I gave Falcom a huge profit from Japan sales, so that's probably the reason why they are bring it internationially, along with renewed interested in digital versions of Second Chapter( finally translated after 4 years) and Third Chapter.

It looks pretty good so far, better than Celecta from what I can see.  Hopefully it gets released worldwide before the end of 2016.

I got really excited when I seen "all time wishes" and a link to rpgfan. Then when I seen it was YS, I was disappointed. For some reason the series has never appealed to me. Probably the biggest RPG series that I've never gotten into.

I had never known anything about the series until I played Ys: Seven. I was amazed by how much I got into it and was thankful to have something to finally play on my PSP.

I think the more recent entries of Ys such as Ys 6-7, Origin and the remakes of Ys 3 and 4 are much easier to pick up compared to the older entries of Ys.  I'd reccomend to start with either Ys Oath in Felgana or Ys Origin in you're trying to get into the series.

No mention of the PS3 version of Berseria coming west; not surprised tbh I did think releasing it on PS3 was purely for the benefit of the native audience. I wonder if Persona V will only come out on PS4 as well on our side of the world;as really if both those games are PS4 only, along with FF XV, it might force most if not all of the JRPG fans still stalling on committing to current gen, to finally make the jump.

I wonder the same. It definitely said PS3 / PS4 for Persona V, but maybe once localisation is done and all, it would make more sense to release to only PS4 in the west. For me, PS3 is basically over, though I know a few items being localized are still trickling in, often with PS3 or Vita options. A tough choice because I like playing games on the TV but I also want to support the interesting library that's on the the Vita.
