I am new to the site and I have been adding and editing some entries during the last days. How long does it usually take until the edits are accepted or rejected? I don't see any notifications and the database entries are still unchanged, even the ones I created myself (and later added artwork for). So I am a little confused. Am I missing something? I am a little hesitant to edit any other entries if the changes are somehow lost or I am doing something wrong.

I haven't been going through the approval queue lately, apologies. I needed a break. :p I'll check the queue when I get back from work.

And don't worry, if you were doing something wrong, I'd let you know via PM to yell at er help you straighten things out. ;D

I got all edits approved now, thank you very much :)

Can totally understand that you needed a break. Going through each and every edit has to be a lot of work for a site like this.

Just to let a mod now, its star wars battlefield, its a serie. So no : after wars, but after battlefield, except this one.

I rejected your correction because the game has a colon in its title officially.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_Battlefront_II

It looks like the new games won't have the colon in the title, at least from the news posts I've seen about it.

Yikes, someone takes wikipedia serious  ;D.

I just follow the side of the box, and there is no colon. The side of the box is usually straight on with the style guide.

Btw, both ways are already in the database.

Someone has to keep things tidy. The more common spelling includes the colon in the title so I go with that.

And I'm aware that people keep adding different titled versions... so I merge them whenever I see them. :\

I was going through the old posts in this thread and saw how bad that Rayman image is, ha.  It looks like they still have this old image on the site (probably leftover from their site overhaul):

http://psmedia.playstation.com/is/image/psmedia/e32011-game-5535-packfront?$WaysToBuy_Packart$

It's located at the bottom of the page for this store page: http://www.playstation.com/en-us/games/rayman-origins-ps3

but I agree with what Foxhack did.  I use those images as well from their official product page, even if they are really shitty and inconsistent.  The same thing happens when I go through the Nintendo eShop, and Sony also did a revamp of their website store a while back that made some images better and many WAY worse. :(

But I also agree that we should not be using the physical box artwork for digital titles.  I have a mix of both physical and digital items, stuff that is on PS1 and Steam, and I don't want it to look like I have dupes.  It's misleading for people who might search by the title and see the first box artwork item and say "That's the one I have" without looking at the platform designation.

Especially when I have a special collector's edition or something, I like having the artwork be accurate. Just because someone owns a digital copy of the same game doesn't mean they can just use whichever boxart they like for their entry.

Anyway! :D  haha sorry for the rant... TL; DR: I agree with Foxhack.
