Thanks for the notice. It's really tempting to get one of these, I'm almost considering cancelling some of my other preorders to get one. Why must Nintendo release these so soon before the New 3DS comes out... and in the middle of a really packed fall season. :'(

I second I hope they'll release a few special editions of the New model, at least. Though they will have to actually announce it first (it hasn't been announced for NA yet...)

Out of all those fanmade designs for a NES themed console, I believe that Nintendo did the worst they could with that Special Edition.
