I'm an avid movie goer as well as a game collector so I thought I'd start a movies discussion!

I've been into older movies as of late. Over the past few weeks I've seen My Fair Lady, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Father of the Bride (the original), and The Professionals.

I'm just getting into the movies of the 50s and 60s. I can see inspiration from many of them in newer movies that I really enjoy.

Just for fun I'll throw in my top 3 movies ever (no order):

Lost in Translation
The Royal Tenenbaums
Donnie Darko (obviously)

I'm going with 3 because these are always on the top of my top 5-10 lists. None of them have budged since I first saw them. If I had to pick 2 more, 1 would be Blood Simple and the other would be up for debate. 4 & 5 have a tendency to move around a lot.

What are some of your favorites and what have you been watching lately?

If I had to choose a top 3. We'd be looking at:

Sandlot
Big
The Goonies

Lately the movies that rarely leave my ps3 are Wall-e, Watchmen: ultimate cut, Scott Pilgrim and the original Star Wars movies.
Now Playing: Persona 5 Scramble, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Mario Kart 8

I recently saw National Lampoon's Animal House, very good movie. I'm also a -very- big fan of crappy b-movie schlock.

And Lost in Translation is one of my favorite movies, too.

They filmed most of Sandlot close to where I lived as a kid.  A lot of my baseball playing friends were extras in it.  As far as favorites goes, I have too many to list so let's just say Star Wars.

That's pretty awesome. The Sandlot is one of those movies that I can watch over and over and always puts a big dopey grin on my face. ha

The first time I watched it I hated it. Then, about a year later, I saw it again and loved it. I've probably seen it 10 times now.

My list consist of

Conan the Barbarian (1982)
Shawshank Redemption
Aliens
Terminator
Three Stooges (1920s-1975)

I consider the Three Stooges a movie because they were originally viewable only at the movie theaters.

I think I have The Last Starfighter and WarGames on pretty much every (consumer) format they were released. Well on my way for a full set of the BTTF trilogy, too.

I have a number of favorite films, but those are the ones that seem to pop up the most often.

Thats how it was for me.  Everyone said I had to watch it and I pretty much fell asleep.  Yet when I watched it again later I had to buy the DVD!
