Gonna be doing the same thing soon on my new island fortress I'll be building.  Also I need to complete my set of XO1 Power Armor.  It's the only armor set I don't have completed out of 5 different ones.

Court 35 - 1:05 is where i found mine. IIRC, youll have to be over like lvl 26 or so to get the X armor at that location, if you go at a lower level youll get junk armor

Some BS, the vault where you get the science bobblehead, it gltiched on my 2nd player and cant get the key card... Its a known glitch.

What's the point of base building? Even locations that I've heavily fortified like Sanctuary gets kidnappings and clean-up raid requests. I don't see a reason other than to waste time.

Supposedly they are more about the later game, where you have trade lines setup and vendors in your place, so that you can buy better weapons and gear and such.  There are vendors you find around the Commonwealth, which are somewhat special dudes, and you can have them go to the settlement to sell once you have openings.  I haven't gone that far, as I'm usually just building for my own reasons and I added more items to use for building with mods.  There's an amazing island to the Southeast that you can use to create an island fortress for yourself.

From what I understand, the base building helps you out later in the game.  You set up shops to make you money, so you can buy stuff.  Set up scavenging stuff to gather free resources to customize equipment.  I got into it early on and then realized it was pretty useless, so I stopped.

I've had like 6 settlements get attacked and all 1 to 3 people die, then the settlement stops getting attacked.  It's fantastic.

I've got maybe 4 settlements I actually kind of tend to.

I've put in about 90 hours so far, I'm at the point in the game where you have to decide a faction and murder all other factions, I'm not happy about it at all.

I need more copper, last night i started to hit each settlement, grab everything, scrap everything, then put down a generator and a settlement becon.... But after about 7 settlements being set up.... i need more copper for the rest.... Lots and lots of copper.... Now that I can use AP to run and fast travel when I carry to much stuff. I am also now hitting up all locations and grabbing everything lol.

You can set up supply lines to share resources between settlements, I'm not sure exactly how it works, I just always set up a supply line from all settlements directly to my "HQ"

Good point, forgot about that. but since i can fast travel now while being over louded, its just easier to carry everything now while working on it.

In other news. Working on all my settlements. I havent beat the game on my 2nd player.... Protip, Need cooper? the institute is full of it. Jack everything lol. thank god i can fast travel now thanks to that perk. Overload and head back to SH..

I get all my junk out of my SH settlement(main base) and start from the top and go down the list of Settlements in the pipboy. Go to each one, take everything, scrap everything, go to the work bench, and take everything out that is junk, set up generator and install a radio beacon. And fast travel to the next one.... Now all my settlements have at least a generator and beacon.....

Next job. laying at least 5 sleeping bags (i want at least 10 per). those are the cheapest/fewest stuff to make a bed. Then water pumps, and ive been taking all the crops i can at my settlements, so when I go back to do food, ill have a ton to plant.

And my very last thing will be defense. By then ill be hitting every location and stealing everything lol.

I have 25 settlements (not counting boston airport, since you cant settle people there.

I wanna say I can't wait.  But I'm actually kind of underwhelmed by what I'm hearing.  Sounds like we are getting 1 Fallout sized DLC (talking about the usual new world stuff) and a bunch of paid title updates.  Wasteland workshop sounds kind of like Hearthfire from Skyrim, which IMO, doesn't add a lot to the game, but it is priced accordingly. 

They said $60 worth of DLC.  Far Harbor is $25, and the other 2 combined are $15.  You're already at $40, so there is no room for another Far Harbor sized DLC.

I think gone are the days of 4-5 big DLC worlds.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Automatron didn't sound like it adds a new world like Far Harbor

This is how I look at it. if you are willing to spend the $25 just for far Harbor then instead spend $30 for the season pass. making the remaining $35 of dlc for $5.

They are increasing the season pass after march 1st though so you have a little bit of time to make the final decision.
