Save Your Change, Folks VI
« on: October 16, 2015, 12:04:43 pm »
I didn't realize we never started a new thread for this round.  October 20th is next week.  That's the day that we cash in the change.  Has anyone even been saving?

I have not been saving. I quit holding onto my change once I got my PS4.

The way it worked is we would pick a date 6 months from the time the original thread was posted. We would save up change and then splurge on something with it once the time is up.

I'm down to do this! I usually do this anyways (go on thrift runs when I've saved change). So I think I'll see you guys in April!

Ha, I looked at my piggy bank the other day and thought, "Oh right, October 20 has come and gone." lol Neither me nor my partner have been saving much lately, but we'll have to bust open that pig one of these days...

I'm still saving my change. But I gave up pop now, so I don't accumulate change as fast as I used too. I haven't turned it in yet though, as I'm saving it for a Con at the end of November.

I've been saving up change for like 10 years.  I think I counted most of it when I moved a few months back.

I think I got around to $140 and gave up.

So what date should we set?  I'm all for it.  Been saving up change and aluminum cans already.

I have a fair amount of change saved, as well. I'm anxious to get rid of it.

lol like I said previously I have a LOT of change save over many many years and I tried going through it yesterday. lost count somewhere north of $200 and gave up because I only got about 1/4-1/3 the way through.. you start loosing your mind hand counting tens of dollars of pennies.. but on the bright side I found about $40 face value silver and gold coins while searching through it all including a coin I thought I dreamt up as a kid, a real gold dime.

Most banks will count your coins and give you cash back for free if you're an account holder there FYI guys. Also maybe we set the start of the year since it doesn't really seem like we had our go around this time?
