Well I don't see anything pulling me away from Windows 7 anytime soon. I was using XP until 7 since everything in between was total garbage. I have a feeling I'll be using 7 exclusively for another 4 years or so.

Plus, 8 looks like a shitty tablet OS in touch mode (which is retarded anyway).

The whole system is really made for touch screens, even the desktop mode.

I've tried windows 8 and i wasn't all that impressed. I don't like the direction they are taking the OS into. If it's enough of a failure they'll fix it for the next OS release (W9?).

Microsoft has followed a pattern of good, bad, good, bad, good .etc

XP was good
Vista was bad
W7 was good

W8 should be bad.

I actually have Vista Ultimate, and have always been happy with it.

Vista is really poorly optimized. that was it's biggest problem. It takes too many resources to run smoothly, especially compared to XP. W7 is basically Vista but optimized better. It needs less ram, uses less CPU power .etc
