Playstation Legacy Super Collector Thread
« on: July 22, 2020, 01:21:27 am »
Hi everyone, I'm relatively new to the site but not new to collecting for Sony Consoles. I'm looking for other Sony sleuths on the site to share information with and make trades. I am also in the process of full Setting for the NTSC region for each Sony console and archiving everything (in-depth pictures and specific information) to share on a dedicated website, www.psxlegacy.com (being built). My site will have a focus on historical significance, but also gameplay reviews, collectible subsets, and variants (along with unboxing video's).

If anyone has any unique playstation finds, something rare or obscure, or simply just want to discuss any of the aforementioned topics, please respond to this thread. Also, please check out my wanted list and my for sale list. I have done my best to acquire difficult and collectible items to offer as trade.

An old project of mine

If you know this information, it would be helpful:
teal items: SCPH number from the box
yellow items: proof of existance

It is covered in page 2 of this thread

If you're interested in PlayStation variant collecting, GameRaveTV's YouTube channel alongside their official website are pretty good sources in becoming aware of oddities.

Wow, the trades you have are very impressive.  Wish I had stuff on your list that I was willing to trade.  A few of us on the site have full NTSC PS1 sets- I have a complete non-variant longbox set and completed a non-variant complete set back in March of this year.  Working on the black label variants- I have 44/58, and about 100 GH left should I ever want that set too.

I would love to go for a ps2 ntsc set and am about half way there- but have no room to put 1800 ps2 games- lol.  Best of luck there as well.

I second Game-Rave. Jason is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and has done wonders for the ps1 collecting community.  Sounds like you plan to expand on his site idea and also include PS2 and beyond.

Welcome to the site!

Hi guys, yes I'm aware of Jason aka "Dangerboy" and gamerave.com. He is probably the reason I got into variant hunting and we've been buds now for a number of years.

Thanks for the follow-up posts on related research and threads, I'll definitely need some time to comb over things and compare notes. Nice to see other collector tracking and caring about some of these things.
