Best kart racers that aren't Mario Kart?

I love kart racers but I've recently come to the realization that I haven't played many good ones outside of Mario Kart. What are some quality kart racers, new or old, that are almost as fun as Mario Kart?

I'll start this list off with two obvious picks:
Crash Team Racing/Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled
Diddy Kong Racing/Diddy Kong Racing DS

KartRider: Drift maybe?

Probably not South Park Rally and Race with Ryan.

Does Sonic All-Stars Racing: Transformed count? Like they aren't technically "Karts", but for all intent and purposes, it plays exactly like Mario Kart or Diddy Kong Racing would.  Either way, it's an amazing racing game.  I was really bummed they dumped the series for the Team Sonic Racing game.

I checked my ps1 collection and found some games that might be relevant but i've never tried them so im not sure.

Extreme Go-Kart Racing,Miracle Space Race,Renegade Racers,Speed Punks,Tyco r/c Assault With a Battery

I'll list one that is great "Mickey Speedway USA


Mickey Speedway is fun without being too challenging anyone with early to mid racing game experience should be able to figure out how to win at this great Nintendo 64 video game, Mickey Speedway usually does not cost as much as Mario Kart 64 also, if you are looking for a game just like Mario Kart

All I know is it seems a lot easier to master then Super Mario Kart, but I can't comment on Mario Kart 64 because I do not currently own Mario Kart 64, to tell the difference

Another Mario Kart style racing game is LEGO Racers for Nintendo 64


I am not sure if this game was a port on the N64  but it is certainly a Mario Kart style racing game that is much much more challenging then "Mickey Speedway USA" the LEGO racers game I played is the Nintendo 64 version, and it's tough as nails to win at. in most areas of racing.

I'll name another game I don't think anyone on this site knows about. Because it is only a section of a game, inside another game.

"Mortal Kombat Armageddon"


"Mortal Kombat Armageddon" is a fighting game obviously. But it actually has a Mario Kart style racing section called "Motor Kombat" on the PlayStation 2 version, I maybe played one race in that mode because I bought Mortal Kombat Armageddon for it's fighting mode, but this is certainly a hidden kart game included in a popular fighting game series

I think it's amazing that this mario kart style video game would be included inside another game entirely

Yes definitely..They were the first ones I listed. I might even say they are better than Mario Kart.
