Help identifying Tomb Raider edition
« on: February 11, 2022, 05:44:22 pm »
I've recently picked up a collectors edition of sorts of Tomb Raider on Xbox 360, and I've been having trouble identifying which edition it is. I've done several google and ebay searches and could not find the version I have. If anyone could help me figure out which version this is, I'd really appreciate it!  ;D

This could be it, the Amazon preorder version with the seemingly exclusive artbook. I'm assuming the voucher is for this hunter skin as well https://i.imgur.com/chpahHr.jpg

I don't think its in the VGCollect database currently.
EDIT: It could also be the survival edition missing a few extra goodies, not really sure though.

More information is needed for you to get any reliable help.

Not every Xbox 360 release has a spine number, but this release should. If you can provide that number and the back cover information, you can be given more accurate answers.

It does appear to be the amazon preorder version, I don't think its the survivor edition as that seems to be a PAL exclusive. Neither the slip cover or game case itself have a spine number oddly. Here's an image of both back covers. https://imgur.com/a/z8D1RoS

I believe I found an eBay listing of the same item. If you were to create an entry for this item, Tomb Raider (slipcover) would be best. The artwork seems to be the exact same as the "SteelBook Edition" release, so using any of the front cover text as a descriptor such as "(40+ E3 Awards)" wouldn't be ideal to use.

The ebay listing is the same one as mine, though it's not the same artwork as the steelbook edition. The steelbook slipcover has slits in it to reveal the game case underneath, I will likely provide my own scan for my edition. Thanks for all the help!  :D

Pretty sure this is the Amazon-exclusive preorder edition, which was also called the "Final Hours" edition because of the Kindle documentary that you also got:

Searching for the UPC from the slipcover also leads me to this Ebay auction: https://www.ebay.com/p/170246882?iid=172144683410

Final Hours Edition can be submitted to the Alt-name field, as the text isn't actually on the packaging itself and was just used for marketing purposes.
