Does Anyone Have Apple Arcade?
« on: May 22, 2022, 04:05:27 pm »
I've been pondering heavily whether or not I should get Apple Arcade for my Mac since this new Warped Racers game dropped; it brings together all the old animation domination cartoons like King of the Hill, Family Guy and American Dad into one kart racing game. I was just wondering if anyone could (or couldn't) vouch for the Apple Arcade service and it's quality... or lack thereof.

It has a lot of quality games on it but the popular ones tend to get ported elsewhere after a bit. I'm also interested in Warped Kart Racers so will just be hoping it makes its way to consoles later on.

I've been really thinking about doing the trial of apple arcade just to play Fantasian. Its like the one mobile game I've ever really been interested in, just waiting for the right time while I continue to hope it gets ported to the switch lol

I had it for a few months just to play 2 games basically. I really like the service tho. you pay for the experience, not necessarily the games. It's just that everything is curated, they remove any form of ads and ingame purchases. It's just such a clean and friendly experience. Def worth it for the money, but make sure there is something you really wanna play. (what the golf!!)

That was one of the games that I wanted to play as well. But I did not like the control scheme. (I think it would made a nice console RPG with regular controls). My favorite game right now is Mini Metro+ -- which I can purchase the non-plus version for less than the monthly fee. I plan to do that when my trial ends.

I ended up getting the month free trial. So far I've had a lot of fun with Warped Kart Racing, but I need to look at the whole Apple Arcade lineup before deciding if it's worth the monthly fee or not.
