Persona 5 Strikers for PS4 was under $5 at GameStop, so I picked it up.

Appreciate your mentioning the deal. I stopped by my local store and also got a copy. The employee helping me even went out of their way to get a newly sealed copy, which was most certainly worth $5.

I ran across a copy of Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow at a place I had a ton of store credit.  I've now got the full DS trilogy, which I thought would never happen

Bought Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration for Xbox

If you are into gaming history, this is a must buy! It has a collection of retro games spanning the earliest days of arcade all the way to the Jaguar and everything in-between by Atari (including computers).

But even better, it has basically what is an interactive documentary section that is so cool. It tells the history of the company, games, consoles, and computers. It includes many interviews with programmers and other Atar people. It has  commercials and ads. And even inter-office memos, designs, and planning paperwork.

For $40, this game is well worth it for retro enthusiasts!

Just got Sonic Frontiers on PS5

So I haven't been able to play it yet but I'm actually intrigued. I was originally interested in this game due to my morbid curiosity of terrible Sonic games. But turns out this one might be kinda ok? Looking forward to playing this with my daughter and having some fun exploring an actually functional 3D Sonic game.

I got it, too. Seems alright so far. Not great, but not bad. But I am only on the 1st island.

Yeah I started watching a playthrough and it got to the point where I wanted to play myself enough that I didn't want to watch the playthrough anymore so I could play myself. Looks kinda weird but seems at least playable which is about all I can expect from a 3D Sonic game. Gonna try to play it over the next few days before my free time is eaten up by Pokemon Violet

Just an FYI to folks, Best Buy is apparently trying to liquidate a ton of their physical media.  They've had games, blu-ray, and 4K on the cheap on kind of a cycle for the last couple of weeks (especially for the movie side).

A few months ago I got some items from an electronics recycling pickup which mostly ended up being old servers (P2-4 era), telecom and AV equipment. Aside from that was a pile of Wii items, which included 4 black Wii and 2 white Wii systems, and a few games. I ended up keeping 1 of the black Wii systems as I was able to piecemeal a complete system but without the box.

I finally got approval to move the remaining Wii items, and unfortunately when I went through to clean things up I had to toss out 5 Wii Motion Plus controllers due to excessive battery corrosion. The place I brought everything to would only take whole systems and they chose the 3 black Wii systems (with PSU, AV, Wii Motion plus with jacket for each), 10 Nunchucks (9 black, 1 white), Mario Sonic Olympics and 2x New Super Mario Bros Wii games. With that they gave me trade credit and I was able to get these:
