Double Dragon Dodge Ball

Ok guys... Out of left field comes... Double Dragon Dodgeball.

This looks to be a remaster/reskin of the NES game Super Dodgeball which was a favorite of mine. And oddly, it's a preorder bonus for Double Dragon Revive.

It includes a story and survival mode.  :D

The $35 digital game on PSN will net you both and from my understanding, you can download Dodgeball immediately. I'm really tempted and will probably hit the button this weekend.

Until October, that's a long way off. I'll be ordering anyway and can't wait to try it out.

I want it… but also don't want to pay for Double Dragon Revive just for Dodgeball. They're kinda forcing our hand here.

That’s such a fun surprise! I loved Super Dodgeball back in the day, so getting a remastered version as a bonus with Double Dragon Revive is a total win. Definitely thinking about grabbing it this weekend too—nostalgia’s hitting hard!

It took me all of 10 min to beat the "story" for the Dodgeball game, but you don't really play for the story.

Happy to say that nearly all of the original NES game (Super Dodgeball) is here, but simply reskinned with changed music to match Double Dragon. The only thing missing would be the inclusion of an ice level that was present in the NES title. It simply made the court slippery and frankly, it was an annoying level. They did recreate the sand level, making it the only level that seems to directly impact dashing/running. I might be wrong, but there also seems to be more teams to play as, allowing you to play as the various Double Dragon enemies.

I played a level of Revive and didn't enjoy it half as much as the Dodgeball. Still, the little add-on made the purchase worth it for me.
