Blight: Survival

Out of nowhere comes Blight: Survival. It's a medieval zombie game featuring co-op play for up to four players. Even better, it's on all the main platforms except Switch 2. Granted, it may come to the handheld later, but we'll see.

I'm not sure how no one has done medieval zombies before, but here we are. Very pleased to see visceral combat and a focus on PvE for this title. There's no release date set, but it could potentially release this year; more than likely next. Enjoy the new trailer:

I don't know if "out of nowhere" is really accurate since the game's been widely known since 2022, though it's nonetheless a project I'm just now learning about. With a name like Blight: Survival and referencing Resident Evil in this latest trailer's title, I was expecting there to be survival horror mechanics, but it seems to be a standard action-adventure or action-RPG game with broad horror elements. Mushrooms seem to be a contributing factor to the game's events, though one would think with a setting like this that the bubonic plague would have been re-envisioned as the cause to the zombie apocalypse.

This seems okay, but I'd like to see a closer look at the game's mechanics before making any further judgment.
