Classic and new gen - what is your top 5 games of all time? Just a list will do 

In no particular order -

1. Fire Emblem, Gamecube
2. FF 7
3. Metroid, Gamecube
4. Zelda Link to the Past
5. Dark Souls

Almost made the list - FF 12

To simply just pick 5 is going to take some thought but here goes.

#1: FF7 - This game changed my life
#2: DW7 - The best DW game out there I think
#3: Ys Books 1&2 (CD) - Simply an amazing piece of work
#4: Super Metroid - Edges out the other Samus games
#5: Zelda LTTP - Greatest Zelda game of all time

Im sure there are some others that could qualify but these will never be bumped out of my top 10.

WOW!

"Keystone Capers" takes me back (while bringing to mind "KABOOM!", "Adventure", "Pitfall Harry", "Super-Breakout", "Combat", "Defender"; and tons of other old (but good) early 2600 gaming goodness *Feels strong wave of *Nostalgia. 

Also, I'm happy to see (more than one) mention of some love for "Persona 3" 

W/o giving it too much thought, over-complicating it, and/or over-analyzing the subject/topic - I'm gonna' just throw out 5 that quickly spring to mind:

(2).  Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (PS2),

(3).  Shadow-Hearts (PS2),

(4).  Dragon Quest VIII (PS2) and

Top 5? I think I would have a hard time getting it down to a top 25. There are just too many great games on top of the ones that have sentimental value for me to narrow done a real list that wouldn't change at least once a week depending on my mood.
