95% of all the games in my collection were bought from a combination of thrift stores, pawn shops, flea markets, garage sales, and local game stores. Despite having a big collection, I am not rich, not even close, so I like to make my dollar go as far as possible and these are the best places to do it I've found. I also buy on Ebay occasionally, but only for games I never find, at least for a good price, or games I want to play badly.

Most of the games I bought recently are either from burningdoom, eBay, Amazon, and GameStop.  Haven't been able to look at pawn shops lately since the closest one I know of with video games closed down.  Had so many games I wanted to get but was limited with budget at the time.

Collection-wise, mostly eBay and GameStop.

Please check out the games I have for sale.

At first I thought it was a funny miswriting of marketplace, then I saw the URL and went all "Ooooooooooooooooh!"  :P

Keyword "recently" on both our posts, burningdoom.

I love the retro store that I found in Washington...  Allows me to try games that I'm interested in or just want to play.  Ah, the nostalgia of '90s-era video game stores.   ;D   :'(

I get my games from Gamestop, Amazon, Ebay, and my local comic book store. I generally check all four for the best prices but in my opinion they are each good in their own way. My local comic shop has fantastic prices but they don't guarantee the games. I picked up a copy of Knights of the Old Republic for the Xbox for $4! Gamestop is the best place to get used games and pre-order stuff. Plus the employees at the store near me are really nice and always give me free pre-order stuff that no one picked up.
Ebay is a great place to go for importing games and occasionally it has the lowest prices. I only buy new games from Amazon (and when they are the lowest price).
