Look what's FINALLY being re-released! (Lucky for me, I already own both games on disc, but I would have rather paid for an online network price)

I gave a high school speech on Pokémon back when I was playing Red. I got the highest grade in the class on that speech.

Oh man, that was years ago. My visual aid was piece of poster board plastered with some of my favorite Pokémon. I talked about the game, the show, the fact that I mainly favored water-type Pokémon and...I'm sure there was more. But yeah, highest grade in the class.

BOOM!

https://games.yahoo.com/blogs/plugged-in/call-of-duty--black-ops-3-twitter-pr-stunt-162020103.html

So people are all up in arms because Call of Duty's Twitter account was posting "news reports" of war, you know, since they're a war-game; as a part of their marketing.

If people are getting their world news from a Call of Duty Twitter, and they believe it to be real, who are the real morons here?

And I love how the headlines says "upsets everyone", lol.

What gets on my nerves are those websites that look all official, and they post bogus news stories for no reason. Kind of like The Onion, except there is no humor involved and no reason to disbelieve what they write about. One such place is called Empire News. Disregard anything on that site. It's only in the fine print that they call themselves "entertainment". Oh, they just totally lied about something that didn't really happen. What great entertainment!  ::)

So I have a question, for any of you, I guess. Do you think it's entirely possible for someone to become too absorbed in the culture side of video games?

Depends. Ive read about people dying an internet cafe's overseas, from gaming marathons, who spend full, 40 hours a week playing video games.... Or if you spent all your money on video games before paying your bills. Or if you cosplay it 24/7 and get a little too into it.
