I was wondering why you were all suddenly having big family parties, then I realized it's almost thanksgiving for you guys haha. I think I have the same confusion every year, I must be getting old.

Turkey, stuffing (dressing if you prefer), mashed potatoes, yams, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, sunshine salad, pumpkin pie and wine.  Yeah...after all that I will probably just lay down in the floor and roll myself to the couch.

I would literally be salivating all over myself smelling that bird in the oven.  Man...I love me some turkey!

Yes, wine is very good.  My mom's side of the family are Italian.  My Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather were immigrants who came to America around 1917 (separately with their families).  Drinking wine with dinner is a tradition in the family.  One of the things I miss the most from before most of my family passed away were the huge get-togethers for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Someone would always say "saluti" before the meal.  My great grandfather would usually get drunk and start swearing at someone in Italian. 

While I now have my own family complete with kids and we still go to my parents, those days are forever gone except the memories and photos from those times.
