So, like, did the rules change recently? Are we supposed to tip a "barista" after they pour us a cup of coffee? Starbucks doesn't do that, but what about non-Starbucks places?

I'd say it depends on their 'job'.

If they're a Starbucks employee, making a normal hourly wage, no tip's required.

If, however, it's a 'waitstaff', making 1-2 dollars an hour plus tips that's serving your drink then, yes, they should be tipped.

When in doubt, ask about their job.

I waited tables for years and would guess that you'd offend no one by clarifying.

The facility I visited was a non-chain coffee shop. Basically, a Starbucks but without the Starbucks logo and lower prices.

Here I go, and I need you to help me stick to it.

I'm not going to buy any more games until this fall.  There's no need to.  I'm going to play what I have, and be happy.

How long do you think this will last?  Any bets?

Put a rubber band around your wrist. Every time you think about randomly buying a game instead of waiting until the fall, pull that bastard back as far as you can and let it snap. The pain will remind you that no means no.

Well, I'm out of ideas.

For your game buying, that is. I have all sorts of other ideas now regarding something else.

Until the weekend, which is here.

I'm trying the same thing sort-of. Went to go buy some games today, got there and talked myself out of even going in. No particular games in mind, I was just looking to waste money. Gotta stop that.
