Game Room Pics

I took my pictures of my retro game room shortly after we moved in.  Then I did a lot of reorganizing and restructuring of everything to where I was pretty happy.  Then I wound up getting a lot more games since then, so I ran out of space.  Now I'm planning on building 4 more shelves and rearranging what shelves are in which rooms.  Hopefully in the next month or two I'll be done with it.

i live in a studio apartment tho so the set up looks bad and isn't really complete, i have things to move around and posters to put up still so
this is all gonna be outdated (it already is, doesn't include odin sphere and grand kingdom and a handful of others)

also a cameo of my japanese nintendo dream animal crossing new leaf guide. it has pictures of every item in the game... got it before the game came to the states, before there were internet databases of the items in game (which weren't complete for about a year after the game landed here)

Honestly, I only hold on to some of my duplicate stuff (especially systems) because I'm concerned my sibling unit will attempt to come at me saying I stole "their" game systems.

Put them in a box.  Ship them to me.  I'll sell them in October at Retropalooza on consignment.

Just moved into a new house a couple of months ago, and I finally have a chance at a true retro gaming area. I have some of my more recent consoles and games set up (PS3, X360, XBOX, PS2, Gamecube, Dreamcast), but I still need to retrieve the rest of my collection from storage at my parents' house...which is now a 9 hour drive away. I now have an identical shelf on the other side of the TV, just waiting to be filled with NES, SNES, Genesis, etc.

Went to a convention 2 weeks ago and a guy was selling posters he had made of NES box covers, and they were perfect for the look I was going for so I took 6 of them. Got posters of some of my favorite games, and purposely wanted one to be a more obscure good game like Shadow of the Ninja. Would have gotten Shatterhand or Vice: Project Doom instead if he had them.



I figure this is a good place to show these as well. Got a couple of games autographed, and they are now on display on top of my game shelf:

I built another shelf this past weekend.  Now I'm reorganizing and inventorying.  All of the Sega games are organized.  (Need to inventory CD, Saturn, DC, and GG).  So one corner of the room is done.

I may need to suck it up and sell off duplicate stuff because I just have no place for it.

Me also... not so much to see what people have because after awhile you realise that everyone pretty much has the same stuff. More to see how things are arranged or displayed and to get ideas for myself either for now or something to remember for the future.
