I think what I'd rather do is have some sort of report feature on the item page itself. This'll alert an admin to handle it. So far we've been pretty on top of things and usually notice dupes before they are even reported here. At this point I don't think it's urgent but I'll pay some attention to it in a future release.
As a side note, I haven't had time to reply to you PM yet. I'll get to it later today for sure.
Just now noticed this post. The report item feature is actually not that bad of an idea. You're right that at this point it's not really a required feature but as more and more members come I believe this will become a time consuming issue. I've been a little busy finishing up some of my own personal projects so havn't been very active here. Never got that PM but no worries xD
Been trying to get used to Git, I never realized how difficult it was for pushing commits with diffs... head banging wall kinda stuff.
If anyone is interested, might post an off topic thread about some of the projects I have going on.
