I really love collect-a-thons like the Banjo-Kazooie games on the N64. I would have to say that Super Mario 64 edges out Banjo-Kazooie. However... Banjo-Tooie, I think, is an objectively better game than Super Mario 64.

I'm on a very strict budget so I can only afford one of them. Anyway  I would probably only end up playing one of them so it would be a waste.

For me it depends on the type of platformer I want to play at the time.  If I want to collect a bunch of stuff I go with Banjo Kazooie; If I want the focus to be more on the platforming rather than collecting things I go with Mario 64.

Not really the kind of thing i'm looking out for in my games overall unless someones got a fetish for that kind of thing. Which is the most fun game overall?

I'm computer retarded with regards to these kind of things. I had to ask someone on here for a step to step guide how to see my recently added games, and that took a life time for me.

Banjo was pretty well polished. I even feel it's more modern in some respects but I enjoy the design and gameplay of Super Mario 64 over Banjo.

You are asking of which 2 N64 games you should get? Its the N64. You are going to be losing with either choice. Toss that electronic pile of manure in the trash and get a Playstation. Unless you really insist on a system with one of the most absurd controllers ever made and with a library full of junk, then you may as well get both and bore yourself to tears with either option.
