Is there a good cooking anime out there to check out?

I tried watching this new one called "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" on Crunchyroll and the idea behind it is fun and entertaining enough, but then there's this aspect of it that is literal food porn, where everyone straight up orgasms every time they eat something good.  That wouldn't be inherently awful, but it's such overt fan service, even if it is being silly about it, but it's still lots of women moaning, huge breasts quaking, and other stuff like that and it kinda gets in the way of the actual show I think lol I say this, while also being a fan of Kill La Kill, so yeah...

Yesterday I saw the first episode here at the office and at least for me it was pretty damn good, maybe it's because I do like the fan service and big boobs in Anime, come on be honest who doesn't like them ? and those damn orgasm, they leaved me the impression of what the fuck do these guys took when they made the animation, not pretty sure if I can share some Gifs of if but definitely will continue watching this, by the way the only anime that I can recommend you is Triage X but maybe you already are watching this one  8)

I don't want to be horny anymore, I just want to be happy

Like I said, I enjoy Kill La Kill and I can also add I was a fan of Highschool of the Dead, so jiggling isn't an issue, I think I just want more of the entertaining, over-the-top, cooking aspect, rather than long gratuitous sections of girls moaning and jiggling every episode lol It feels weird and out of place here.

Never seen Triage X, but I'll take a look at it.

If you liked H.O.T.D then you will like Triage X cause at least in the manga they share the same illustrator,  Fujimi Shobo so with this in mind you already have an idea of what you can expect or see, this past Monday I saw the 7th episode of this one and am not disappointed with the currently events in this one, give it a try, at least the first two episodes, I'll be waiting your comments  ;)

I can say for instance that I pretty much dislike fanservice, that was for example the reason that made me stop watching Gurren Lagan after a few episodes, that was just irritating nonsense. I'm not against nudity or sex themes but it should be brought by narrative reasons IMO, like it is done in Berserk for example.

Might've been interested in Sound! Euphonium, as I liked K-On!, but just glancing at this, I feel like I wouldn't care for it on the concert band aspect.  K-On! was very light and fun cause it was just pop rock type stuff with the humor of Death Devil injected every so often and I got a feeling that wouldn't be the same here and not really interested musically.

Jojo and Fate/Night Stay are the only two I'm watching that aren't long running things.  Watched a little of My Love Story which is cute, but not really keeping up with it.

*EDIT*
Goodness, I thought the fan service was over the top in Highschool of the Dead, but I think Triage X might put that to shame in the first episode alone lol  Not sure if I like it.  The action parts seem good for what they were, but the fan service again feels like it's overpowering a more interesting story like it did with Food Wars.  In Highschool of the Dead, it's basically kinda cheesy zombie action and it's interjected with some overt fan service, so it doesn't really feel out of place to have.  In Triage X, they are a badass underground group determined to cut the cancer of society out in a very surgical manner, with the main lead having a tragic backstory and reason for doing what he does that's explained by the end of the first episode...And also the very literal first scene of the anime, is to show off breasts in a bikini so large that it would make Hitomi Tanaka look flat in comparison lol I don't need a narrative reason for this like Turom might, but it's goofiness just makes it hard for me to take it seriously and therefore to invest myself in it.

Damn did you just got all that impressions from the first episode or did you cheated and read some article from the Wikipedia ? so I guess that you will not continue watching this one, I don't take anime that serious cause don't see that much, for example yesterday I only saw one episode the whole day and it was the episode two from Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma where I have to admit that again I feel hungry after I saw the episode, for some unknown reasons the food of Sōma Yukihira made me starving at the end of it, did love the "orgasm" scene and really want to see the next one  ;D

All the information I brought up is straight from the first episode lol I don't know if I'll go back to it.  I might just cause I'm not watching a lot of stuff lately and only have like 2 new shows to watch for anime at the moment.

It seems that somebody did his homework, anyway kinda interested in those two shows that you are currently watching which names by the way you didn't share, so if you dont mind can I know the titles please, in the other hand yesterday I saw the episode eight of Triage X and didn't disappointed me, neither this scene or the whole story, with this episode am finally at the last one so I can finally continue watching Shokugeki no Soma by the way and since you have more time here than I at the forum can you please tell me where can I request an spoiler option just to share images.  ???

Oh the only new stuff I'm watching is Jojo and Fate/Stay Night.  Not a ton else has jumped out at the me lately other than keeping up with One Piece, which is a show I hate, but enjoy at the same time lol  Think I'm just mostly waiting to see what new stuff pops up in the summer releases.

Caught up with Triage X.  It's alright.  The fan service is pretty ridiculous, not really in any particularly good or bad way, but I don't think it's nearly as entertaining as something like Highschool of the Dead.  Might be because HOTD seemed to have the fan service as secondary to the overall show, even with its prominence in certain scenes, but with Triage X, it seems like the fan service wants to over take a lot of the show.  Hard to take Episode 8 quite as seriously as it should, when Hitsurigi is wandering around in just an open patient gown and her crotch is bathed in the black hole censor they like to use.  Also why does this show get censored to shit, while the latest episode of Fate/Stay Night shows off one of the more disturbing things I've seen recently with a scene almost akin to Akira in it? lol I might keep watching for the heck of it, the story itself is watchable enough.

Dumb black hole censoring.  Makes Jojo obnoxious to watch at times...Oh no, Jotaro, a 35 year old looking 17 to 18 year old is smoking a cigarette! CENSOR IT QUICK!

Crunchyroll recently kicked me another 30 day trial, so I shotgunned all of Sword Art Online. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it, enough that I'm a few episodes into Sword Art Online 2.

Aside from that, just Sailor Moon Crystal every two weeks and a handful of other series I have on hand an have yet to watch.

Manga wise, just the usual: One Piece, Fairy Tail and Monster Musume.

Monster Musume is definitely for people with particular taste.
