Are you referring to UFO 50 that is newly created, was submitted by you without any staff involvement, and is even added by you to your account Collection?

yeah I got three new switch games the other day. one is Fading Afternoon, cant update the developer. i need to come to the forum and beg to have the developer added  here? why? I've been on this site for years and its original vision was you could add and edit all the little variants and updates. we used to be able to just add a new developer or publisher.  I've added a ton of entries and used this site for over a decade. it used to be easy to update things. now i got a backlog of games to add on this site cause its a pain or im veto'ed for no reason.
animal well, have to add the lost in cult version. have to beg to add publishers and developers.
UFO 50, same deal and have to come to a forum to ask to add shit. compared to other sites that offer similar game tracking features this one seems to be falling behind. hell my avatar still hasn't been repaired and that's been missing for well over a year.
I know this is all minor stuff, I get that. but i just thought i would say i feel its sad that i may just need to use a different site that just make these update easier than using a forum

If you've been a member of this site for fifteen years, then I'm confused as to why you're voicing these complaints. Throughout all this time, the site has been structured as it was when it began, and the core principle that members can submit new database entries and edit entry information remains true and unchanged.

Developers and publishers have always been needing to be formally requested for them to appear as a field option if they're not already existing data to select, and then they'll be able to be submitted to relevant entries. The database itself revolves around user input, so if there's an item missing that a user is wanting to engage with in some way, then they're freely permitted and more the capable to add that item, just as you've done with the aforementioned UFO 50. With how the database is designed, the same is true for Developer and Publisher field data which is a valid complaint concerning updates needing to be addressed, but it is also a site mechanic that's functioning as intended in this present moment, although I will admit that in this present moment, a site error concerning new Developer data being submitted waiting to be fixed as I mentioned in this post. You're also claiming that Developer and Publisher information can't be supplied to 291202, but that is untrue as you've submitted yourself during the new entry submission process. Nobody is forcing anybody to "beg" for anything, but you can't expect a user-driven site to be reliant on anyone but its users if you're wanting correct or missing data to be documented. As it stands, database staff are here to vet that information to ensure that correct data is actually being submitted.

Unfortunately, user profile avatars were unable to be restored last year during the site crash. This was confirmed one year ago.

Unless you have a request for new Developer or Publisher field data, then you should voice what you have to say in a new topic that's more relevant, particularly in the Site Feedback section.
