I'm all for the NES mini. I would love to collect for the NES. It would be my next system in theory, however, I don't want to devote the space to another system. Having 30 games at my disposal with a more console like feel than an emulator on a PC would be great. I will probably pick this up. It is a great selection of games.

Edit:
I would like to see double dragon 2 removed and replaced with Contra. They have gradius after all. Or at the very least replace it with the original double dragon.

I think the Double Dragon thing is because TradeWest had the license for the first game whereas Acclaim published the second one.  I would prefer Contra myself.

I really don't give a crap about the save states but being able to have a retro aspect like the one of the old CRT format and those damn pixels that I used to have/love when I was a kiddo indeed make me wanna purchase it, hope that we can have some images or video of this baby running in a near future  ;D

I don't want to be horny anymore, I just want to be happy

After playing through Mega Man on the legacy collection, save states make many games tolerable to play lol I'm glad that's there.

It's actually available for preorder on Target's website, you know, if you are willing to preorder from Target.

Is the NES Classic already in the database? If so, where do I find it?

Not in the database yet (surprisingly!), so you could make the record if you really wanted to, but I'd suggest waiting 'till its actual release.

OMGOMGOMG they announced the Famicom version. I'm pretty jealous of the game selection.

I saw River City Ransom, I don't think that was on the US list, which is ridiculous that we don't get that.

I'm surprised we didn't get the River City/Crash and the Boys/Downtown Nekketsu games. I'm also surprised that Mario Open was JPN exclusive.

I definitely plan on picking up a NES Mini once the initial frenzy dies down (you KNOW scalpers are going to be out in force on this). I wouldn't mind picking up the Famicom Mini at some point as well.  :)

Yeah I might see if I can grab one at some point if I can get it cheaper.  I'd actually rather save my money for the AVS system that plays all Nintendo games in HD.  Just need that, an Everdrive, and I'll be able to play anything on the NES.

What's really amazing is how strong the list of games is. There's only a few minor changes I can think of that would really make it the definitive list.

Double Dragon II: The Revenge
Dr. Mario
Excitebike
Galaga
Ghosts'N Goblins
Gradius Life Force
Ice Climber Ice Hockey

Gradius Life Force I agree with this change.
Ice Climber Ice Hockey Sacrilege man! Ice Climber is a classic!
Super C Contra I agree with this change. I have to wonder why they didn't/couldn't/wouldn't use Contra ???
Bubble Bobble Kung Fu I'd keep Bubble Bobble over Kung Fu personally.  ;)
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest Castlevania III CVIII used custom sound chips so that's probably a good reason why it wasn't chosen.
Donkey Kong Jr. Gun.Smoke I like Gun.Smoke (prefer the arcade version) but not at the expense of giving up DK Jr.  :P

Here's the ones I'd prefer...

Balloon Fight
Castlevania
Donkey Kong
Double Dragon II: The Revenge Ice Hockey
Dr. Mario NES Open
Excitebike
Galaga
Ghosts'N Goblins
Gradius Life Force
Ice Climber
Kirby's Adventure

I like that it exists but I won't be getting one myself unless someone buys it for me as a gift for me to take on biz trips or vacations. I have all of those games for my NES already and I see little point besides the portability of it.
