Other people have pointed out to me that the emulator in itself isn't illegal, that's how they're gonna get away with it. It's the ROMs that are illegal.

Sega and Nintendo will probably get involved even though the Retron 5 has so far lives to die another day. I know the difference is the Retron 5 requires the cartridges. But it's still emulation and it copies the rom to do it. Even if only for a little while.

It was actually Microsoft that took it down.  They apparently can put it back up on PC through the Windows 10 store, just as long as there's no Xbox One compatibility.  I think Microsoft was just trying to make sure nothing came about from this.
