I'm sure there are a bunch we are missing. It seems like there are always games that aren't on the site we have to add, like it will never end.

Yes, I took a gander at your Backloggery page.

Well...

Hello (again).

And here I was hoping to find a claim even half as bold, featuring interrobang usage or not, from your Backloggery page.

Hello. I've been thinking about joining for a while now, as all the video game forums I used to visit have died off. These days the only consoles I collect for physically are PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Switch, and Evercade VS-R. I do have a PS5 Pro, but it's strictly for games I can't get on the other consoles. Everything else I rely on emulation for, as I have so many consoles it's starting to become an inconvenience finding power outlets and HDMI ports for them. Looking forward to finishing my collection in the next 3-5 years so I can spend the rest of my life enjoying what I have.

Welcome! As far as forums go, it's pretty quiet here too. There are roughly about a dozen or so of us that regularly/semi regularly post on here now. But luckily it's a cool little community that hopefully you'll enjoy.

Do you plan to use the forums only, or the site's collection feature too? Regardless, welcome!

Probably just the forums. I already have a system for managing my wish list consisting of a bunch of folders of bookmarks in my browser. It lets me instantly check prices on anything just by clicking on it. Not sure I want to migrate everything over.

Heyo, names Niko. Have been coming to the realization that I actively hate Reddit and what it has done to fandoms/hobby communities, and trying to branch off from using it so much. I already have a few other sites I've been using since forever, but it never hurts to join more. Especially since most forums are pretty slow moving these days, so just having more people to talk with never hurts.

I've been collecting games (as in actively building a collection, not just getting games as a kid) since 2012 or thereabouts. I mostly collect Japanese GBC and GBA right now, but I'm a modern gamer too and play new games on Switch 2 and PS5 mostly.

Anyways nice to meet you all. Even if its a pretty small community at least I know you're all (likely) human and not some bot lol

Still use Reddit generally, but I still come back here as I just like forums too much, there's something more direct and enjoyable about them, as long as its one with a decent community, but then again I'm also an "old' at this point and I grew up on participating in forums in the early 2000's, so it just makes more sense to use lol

I use Reddit too but I've just been coming to the realization over the past few months that you really aren't interacting with people at all. At least not in the way you do on forums. In a forum you can get to know the person and kinda get to know them. On Reddit you will likely never interact with a person you reply to again outside of that post. Also, you don't even know if the person you are talking to is even human. Like 90% of the accounts I get into a discussion with are new accounts with randomly assigned usernames. It just feels so off when I also grew up on forums lol I much prefer seeing a username someone crafted, with their personal avatar. On some forums people also put a lot of effort into their signature too, and I just like the vibe way more I guess lol.
